• Look similar to the one that kid was running a while back..

• Received earphones yesterday. Pretty certain that they are FAKE. Package looks genuine but missing a batch number on the end. No mention of warranty. Surface appearance is almost convincing but performance is woeful. They are "Sennheiser CX300" according to the label. I am not particularly interested in returning to supplier but I shall look into ways to give them some grief over this. Trading Standards, Consumer Direct and contact with Sennheiser are lines I am considering.

In the meantime, my advice is, DON'T EVEN THINK OF USING gadgetbuyers.co.uk
• Just found this thread after doing a search on gadgetbuyers.co.uk.

I ordered an ipod docking station on the 25th Nov (£40). No sign of it and they are not responding to emails (sent 3 so far). A suchm pretty annoyed with myself as I think I paid via debit card rather than credit card or paypal so not sure if I can do anything about it other than contacting trading standards or similar.

I ordered this on behalf of my MIL who doesn't trust the internet. Seems like I have proved her point lol:o
• Have also had unhappy dealings with GadgetBuyers (search for them and oddsandpods on UK hot deals). CC statement showed company name as Gadget Distribution, based in Portsmouth. Found address via BT.com and also the registered company via Companies House on the web. Have had promise of refund last night but waiting to see if appears on CC. Seem to be a cluster of companies, all with very similar websites and all with very similar strategy; offer goods at low but not ridiculous prices, hang onto money from day 1 until the customer squeals and then (hopefully) refund... minus the interest they have accrued, of course. Potential buyers be VERY aware
• Hi

I made a purchase from Gadgetbuyers in Dec and the money was took straight away, i received an email to say the item had been despatched on the 11th Dec well surprise, surprise still no delivery. I have emailed numerous times and this is the only way to contact as no phone number! It looks like i'm not the only one.

All i can say is lesson learned!! My advice to anyone is stear clear and i will be contacting watchdog to see if they can have a look into it. I would advice others that have sent them money and received nothing to do the same! This might be a way of stopping other people loosing their money!
• Hi there

I have just found this thread when trying to find a telephone number for gadgetbuyers.co.uk.

I have spent £73 on a ihome dock, and ordered just before Christmas. The money has been taken, and I have heard nothing from the company, and i have emailed them three times.

Did anyone get anywhere with this? After reading the reviews on non genuine items, i just want to cancel the whole order, cant believe i fell for it. Gutted.

I am currently waiting to speak to sagepay, does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks so much in advance.
• I usually pride myself in spotting the signs of bogus websites but in the pre-christmas panic I seem to have let my guard down. Like many others I have paid for but not recieved goods from gadgetbuyers.co.uk and have been ignored by the company. I guess it is goodbye to £45. I will try my credit card company but they are under no obligation to refund me as the legislation only covers purchases over £100. I am cross with myself more than anything else but we live and learn.......
• Hello, also a victim of Gadgetbuyers, bought an item for a Xmas present and have received nothing and all my emails ignored. I have this morning contacted Trading Standards in Portsmouth to complain and recommend that anybody who has a couple of minutes spare to do the same you can email just a couple of lines stating your case and if enough of us do this the company will be investigated, the email is:
trading.standards@portsmouthcc.gov.uk
I am also contacting Watchdog and anybody else I can think of, I am so cross with myself for falling for this kind of cheap scam but blame pre-Xmas panic. The true people to blame are the money grabbing scammers. Good luck to all that have had there money stolen in recovering your funds
• Well folks here I am another gulible fool. I actually checked here before purchasing from these D*******s but must have typed something wrong as I would not have had I read these posts.

Anyway I to tracked down the address of Gadget Distribution and here it is with phone no which never seems to be answered:

19 Victory Buisness centre
Somers Road North
PO1 1PJ
Phone no 023 9281 6550

I am in proccess (sp?) of claiming from my credit card co and reporting then to Trading Standards. If I lived closer I would go and pay them a visit but alas to far to drive.

Hope this helps
• Sent this to Trading Standards. Thought I'd share it in case someone else needs to send a complaint and it might save a bit of time.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I doubt this is the first complaint about this company that you have received

I hope that by adding my case to the list will help to get them investigated and prevented from trading

I purchased two pairs of Sennheiser headphones on January 21st 2011 (receipt below)

The IE7 headphones recently failed after 6 months of usage, leading me to believe they are fakes, though it is not immediately obvious by looking at them or the packaging (but, Sennheiser are renowned for quality)

I opened the IE6 headphones this week (back-up spares) and upon inspection they are obviously fake - the earphones sound awful, the carrying case is plastic instead of metal, and the packaging materials and printing is visibly poor.

I have tried reaching the retailer on numerous occasions via phone, post, email and complaint but have had no response

I am usually a very careful online buyer. Although the price was low, it was not far adrift other well-known online retailers (like Amazon) as it was around sale time. I believed I was buying with confidence.

Oddsandpods is no longer accessible or trading via the website

I believe that gadgetbuyer is run by the same individual(s) - They have the same registration address PO Box 900, Portsmouth, Hants, PO6 9DF, UK

I think it is outrageous that such a company can continue to trade under different names, given they appear to have been selling so many counterfeit products - see trustpilot review

They are also trading as an Amazon Seller

I am also very concerned that they might still have my credit card details.

Please let me know if there's anything else I need to do or any further information you require.
