Anyone bought goods from gadgetbuyers online site?

Hi, my lovely man has decided to save a few pounds by buying a third party IPad accessory which is a bit cheaper than buying the offical apple one. I wish I'd seen the site first as I think its an amatuer effort (only my opinion)
He bought it from this site
www.gadgetbuyers.co.uk
The item hasn't arrived, and the only way to contact them is via email. There is no phone number and on looking at the website the company doesn't seem to be registered either. The customer order number is under 800 which suggests to me that they haven't made many sales,
It may well be that they are totally legit, but their customer support needs a total revamp thats for sure!
I did a whois and got this:
Domain name: gadgetbuyers.co.uk
Registrant: Mike Reeder
Registrant type: UK Individual
Registrant's address: PO Box 900, Portsmouth, Hants, PO6 9DF, UK
Registrar: Webfusion Ltd t/a 123-Reg.co.uk [Tag = 123-REG]
URL: http://www.123-reg.co.uk
Relevant dates:
Registered on: 20-Feb-2010,
Renewal date: 20-Feb-2012,
Last updated: 11-Mar-2010,
Registration status: Registered until renewal date.
Name servers:
ns.gadgetbuyers.co.uk 87.106.131.231
ns1.gadgetbuyers.co.uk 87.106.128.70
After a bit of googling I found this and this
I also think this is him but not sure for definate (I found something linking to this but can't find it now)
Now it might be totally coincidence but same name keps cropping up. Mr Mike Reeder.
Have I been scammed? I am not saying they are dodgy but their lack of response is not helping.
Incidentally the items were paid by Credit card so I think we are covered.

Did you check companies house to see if they are registered? If not, report them.
How long ago did you order them and when were they supposed to be delivered? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
we ordered and paid approx 3+ weeks ago.
I don't know the name of the company and only says 2010 Gadgets on the website. On Company house I have searched for varities of this but can#t find anything that matches the address.0 -
A quick google of the po box given as contact address also brings back several other sites. Including flog gadgets and odds & pods.
All the sites have the same layout.
What i do find most worrying is that on the site you've bought from, when you click complaints, its a unfinished web page. Not the sign of a reputable company at all.
One person alleges they are connected with datakits.co.uk.......which i'm sure has been mentioned on the forum before.
Most of the reviews i can find seem to say its cheap knock off (fake) goods and when something goes wrong, they have to pay for return postage - which obviously isnt in accordance with your consumer rights.
I would request a refund and if you dont hear back from them, contact your card supplier. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Well it seems I've fallen foul of these people now.
Bought the product, seems oK but has now failed on me. I can't get a response or find a telephone number for them anywhere.
Did you guys get anywhere with this?Slowly reducing my 8.5k of debt!0 -

Bought from Gadget Buyers website. Goods dodgy and also had no reply. Is there any way you can report these people and stop them from trading?0

I hope I am not about to become another minor casualty of gadgetbuyers. I ordered earphones on 04/11/10. Money taken from credit card A/C, in favour of Gadget Distribution Ltd, on 05/11/10. An email on the same day advised that, "Your order has been passed to the warehouse for dispatch." Since placing the order I have done some of the research that should have been done before!
I note that the email to me contained the same typo as that to a datakits customer. Gadgetbuyers.co.uk seems to have links with datakits, oddsandpods and floggadgets with common addresses etc.
I also find it interesting that the gadgetbuyers.co.uk website appears to be based in Germany - strange for an operation in Portsmouth.
All this gives me little confidence in the integrity of this operation, but I shall wait to see what happens - for now at least.0
