.. Hi there i dealt with planohead back in june.. i paid an upfront fee of £501 as all the other companies i looked at were wanting simular. they said i was entitled to a reclaim of £9000 in mis-sold ppi.. i have just recently received a cheque of £5500 alot short of what they first said but never the less i am still very happy.. so i know you can do it your self but this does take away allot of the hard work and strees.. i have recently recommended one of my freinds to them aswell.. hope this helps out anyone who is thinking of doing the same.

There is no stress or hard work. Indeed, there is probably less work doing your own PPI complaint than there is employing them to do it. You are just wasting thousands of pounds.

Thank you once again for your helpful reply. I too have spent some time looking up information on this company and have come to the conclusion it is a scam. Having said that an earlier post in this thread stated they had a successful result with the company back in April this year, although others sounded dubious.

One thing the lady failed to mention was that if they done this for me and it was successful I would find it hard to get another credit card, loan or mortgage in the future, or pay through the nose for it because of my bad credit rating.

I hope this helps others decide to stay away from this company.

    Thank you once again

Hi graham i used planohead for my ppi reclaim back in july.. i have recently received a cheque for £5500 so i am over the moon ... :) so it cant be all bad.. yes i did pay a upfront fee but just did not have the time to do everything myself...

and well over the price of a stamp IF you win. ALso if you don't then you often cannot get the "upfront" fee back... its far safer for the consumer to use the FOS I would say.

The info you send into the claims company is exactly the same. One 5 minute letter downloaded from this site, a price of a stamp and thats it. Thousands of pounds saved.
