She said she didnt have the details due to security but I do have PPI with a first plus secured loan which I have previously tried to claim back as I was sure it was mis sold. She said this would probably be it and that I could claim back approx £20,000 minus 20% for their fees.
The problem is they want £299 up front for a 'pack' which they send out for me to fill in and that it would be refunded when they get the pack back.
I'm a bit dubious - has anyone else heard of this company? I'm grateful for any advice.
NO WAY should you pay any upfront fee.0 -

They do have a website it is planohead.org.uk The only reason I know is that they called me yesterday and wanted £975.00 from me for credit card unenforcement so I decided to check them out. The domain was registered on 1st August 2010. Check out "who is" for more information.
I have already posted this but I will post again here to warn others about this company.
Here is what I wrote in my post.
A company called me today about credit card enforcement. She asked me if I had a credit card and then went on to ask me a few questions about my credit card, one being had I been charged more than £12.00 in late payments over the past 10 years, and the other being had my credit card company increased my credit limit without asking me. I said yes to both questions and she said I have flaws in my credit card agreement therefore I would be entitled to wipe all my outstanding debt off as they had mis sold it to me. My debt is £8,200. She said their charges would be £975.00 which would be taken from my credit card immediately and when the debt was wiped off this too would be wiped off so basically their service would be free.
She also said that I was free to spend more on my credit card until this was sorted out by their solicitors as this too would all be wiped off eventually. She said this would take 120 days and all the outstanding debt would be wiped off including their bill for £975.00 and after this time I could then carry on using the credit card but would not be able to make any further claims on this particular card as you can only make one claim per card.
When I said this sounded too good to be true she agreed with me and said that they have 100% success rate and assured me there would be no problems. She was very, very, sure of herself! I asked what would happen if they were unsuccessful and she said they would refund the £975.00 back to my credit card so I had nothing to lose by agreeing to sign up with them.
I am very dubious about this and just wondered if anyone can give me some advice ASAP as I have asked her to call me back tomorrow.
All replies will be gratefully received.
Many thanks
Graham
I have already had one very helpful reply but would be interested to hear from anyone who has dealt with this company.0 -
Graham, I know i replied to your other bit but your new information leads me to add the following.
I have just checked the data protection register and they are not registered. I have also checked to see if they have a consumer credit licence and again, nothing registered under planohead or the address (in case its a trading name difference)
More importantly, they dont appear on the MoJ list of authorised businesses. The register does have a slight lag of a few weeks.
Companies house shows the business was only incorporated earlier this year. So, it has virtually no history under its current name.
Their site says: "We are a successful claims management company.
Authorised and regulated in England and Wales Reg number 7150550" - that statement is incorrect. Being registered at companies house does not make you authorised. That is the company number not an authorisation number.
So, at worst they have no CCA licence, no DPA licence and are not authorised by the MoJ. Or best, they are only just authorised and the lists have yet to be updated.
However, if we take the best scenario, that means they have only just got set up. So, how can they make claims of 100% success rates if they have just started trading. Notice how none of the referrals on their site are talking about being successful.
This company appear to have no authorisation from the MoJ, have no CCL, not registered with the DPA and not been trading that long. They clearly tell lies on the phone. So, you can quite fairly call it a scam.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

Thank you once again for your helpful reply. I too have spent some time looking up information on this company and have come to the conclusion it is a scam. Having said that an earlier post in this thread stated they had a successful result with the company back in April this year, although others sounded dubious.
One thing the lady failed to mention was that if they done this for me and it was successful I would find it hard to get another credit card, loan or mortgage in the future, or pay through the nose for it because of my bad credit rating.
I hope this helps others decide to stay away from this company.
Thank you once again

There have been quite a few occasions when reps from the claims companies have signed up pretending to be successful clients. Seeing as they cant have been trading back then (or at least not lawfully) then its doubtful.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). My thoughts exactly!0

I spoke to a lady from Planohead yesterday when she called to see if I wanted to go ahead with the credit card unenforcement. I said I had a few questions and asked how long they had been trading. She said they had been working on the credit card unenforcement project since the beginning of the year, but had been in business for 5 years.
She said they were authorised by the FSA and the MoJ. When I said that I had spoken to the MoJ and they didn't have a record of Planohead she quickly said that they trade under different names as they offer many different services but their trading partner was called All Debt Solutions and explained this is why the MoJ have no record of Planohead as they are registered under the name of All Debt Solutions.
I have checked and All Debt Solutions are an authorised business but the status date shows 11/5/10 so they have only been authorised for 5 months.
She did mention that I was right to check up on them as there are some dodgy people out there!
Needless to say I declined their offer of being debt free within 120 days.0 -
You need to report this to the ministry of justice so that these shysters can get closed down and not rip anymore unwiting people off! We've spent decades teaching people about their rights, but nothing about their responsibilities.0
