Morning all! I've just put 2 books on Amazon so it's a good start. Am expecting delivery of my first fruit and veg box today so will be planning meals for the rest of the week according to freezer and box contents.

It might be a NSD today as the weather is rubbish and I have loads of housework to do. Husband and son are both asleep so I'm catching up on some uninterrupted laptop time with a big slab of home-made chocolate fudge cake.

Have a lovely Easter Monday everyone.

  • Hi Sparkle

I have just read a few pages of your diary and its certainly not took you long to get back on the wagon and do some constructive stuff... Its good to read.. I think I will try and read from the beginning but it will probably take me ages... I swear I spend so much time reading peoples diaries I don't get on with my own life I just read about others getting on with theirs :o:p

Anyway nice to virtually meet you :D

  • Well you have certainly had some serious motivation in the past to get your debt down by £20,000  :A

So this £7000 is gonna be a walk in the park eh ;)

I do hope so! In a week's time I'll be down to the £6000s and my aim is to get down to less than £5K by the start of summer. Mind you, looking at this weather I reckon that gives me quite a few months :p

    Hi Sparkle.

I'm so glad you're 'back on the wagon'. It won't take long to shift that last 6k now.

If you take a look back in your diary, you'll see how far you've come. But you'll also see how you did it - not by waving a magic wand, but by chipping away bit by bit. Don't get down, just keep on keeping on - you'll get there. You've done the hard part already.

:T to you for getting this far.

Good news and bad news this week. The good bit is that the car parking bookings are flooding in, 3 already at £15 a time. This could be one of my better money-making ideas at this rate.

The bad news is that I am in agony with an infected root canal and I paid my dentist £30 yesterday to tell me he can't do anything and the tooth will have to be extracted. Which means I either have to live with a gap in my teeth (not possible) or pay a small fortune for a dental implant. It's such a pain-literally! I'm on antibiotics which might heal the abscess a little. Thing is, I have really healthy, strong teeth with only a couple of fillings, but I fell off a bike and caused all this damage.

Oh well, I haven't been very good this week- have been buying lunch, have forgotten my clickthroughs all week and I bought a gorgeous pashmina from Monsoon. On the plus side I've started my spring planting- salad leaves, basil, aubergines and butternut squash will all be sprouting soon for the price of a few packets of seeds. I really, really want a wormery so I can compost all our veggie peelings etc but I can't justify the expense at the moment.

  • Hi Sparkle could you live with the gap for a little while? Only asking as maybe you could look into Tesco or HSA dental care and they pay out up to £2000 for about £17 per mth? There are some posts about it on the Health and Beauty Board. Bleurrrr to toothache its the worst!!!!!

Yay to the parking... What EASY money!!!
