And I don't get a good night's sleep anyway due to this baby's head being wedged against my bladder and feet sticking out of my stomach- hmmm... sorry for the graphic description but it's uncomfortable I needed to share!
oooooh i can beat the uncomfy... one of the ladies at my work was due last sunday, she has been in hospital for a week cause the baby was still lying across the bottom of her rib cage, keeps doing somersaults but not moving into the eject position! they are planning on doing a section on thursday. anyway her mum also works with us and informed us yeaterday that during an examination the nurses were able to play with the babies hand...:eek:0 -
Yikes Lyns, that's scary. I can totally sympathise with your colleague-this baby dives around all over the place. I never understood why pregnant ladies rub their bumps all the time but I do now- it's to try to stop the motion sickness!

I've been feeling a bit down this week as I don't think I'm doing as well as I could be. I managed to pay off a good chunk of debt this month but I cut my budget down to the bare bones and it turns out I vastly under-estimated and have ended up with a bigger overdraft  Stupid girl.
I went shopping yesterday to get a present for one of my god-daughters and bits and pieces that I needed. I had £20 in Boots Advantage cards and £16 in M&S vouchers. I had every intention of using this money for Christmas presents but I'm afraid I spent every penny on myself. In Boots I stocked up on toothpaste and bought some lovely moisturising creams and potions... because ladies this weather isn't very kind on our skin and my Tesco moisturiser just wasn't cutting it. I then toddled off to M&S and spent the £16 and moreon yummy food for me and hubby. Now I know I deserve a good kick up the backside for this but it was just what I needed this week. I've been cross and grumpy due to everyday pregnancy frustrations like the 10 minutes of hard work to put shoes and socks on, I've had a stressful week and I'm disappointed with my overdraft abuse this month.
Phew... glad I got that off my chest. Oh, and then last night we went out for pizza for my goddaughter's birthday and there were 10 adults and 4 kids eating. When the bill came it was split evenly between the 10 adults. We paid £23 each and I had only 2 small glasses of wine (obviously couldn't drink any more than that) and neither of us had starters  So annoying...Debt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24

I feel I should be paying for reading this thread Mrs Oven as I am giggling away at most messages
Now, firstly let me say anyone that wants to kick your backside will have to go through me first - and you may want to know my avatar is actually me!
Secondly, many of us have been there with underestimating spending and ending up worse off than expected. I did it 2 months ago. Paid debts/bills and got excited with overpayments so I ended up with not enough spending money for the month. So, we learn and move on, no point fretting and upsetting little Tom
You are still doing so well, you have no reason to be disappointed with yourself. The spending yesterday was very controlled and if it helped to make you feel better, it was well worth it. LEt's not forget you are pregnant and have added discomforts to the rest of us (well the non pregnant of us I mean)
The only thing you are entitled to feel  about is the pizza split of the bill. It was not a fair split and I would be seething over it too. It's done now though so best not to worry about things we can do nothing about.
Rub your belly lovingly and think happy thoughts. You ARE doing well!Leason learnt :beer:0 -
:rotfl: You always make me smile Moozie, especially with your most attractive pic in your avator.
You know, it was lovely to push my trolley around M&S pretending to be rich for a change. I didn't buy any fruit or veg though as I just couldn't believe the prices... people actually pay this??? So I'm still a DFW at heart, just one with some lovely things in the fridge this week
Pay day is Thursday...yippee :j I'll cheer up then.
Oh and I should have said I did my first mystery shop yesterday- took me less than 5 mins in the actual shop and that'll be a tenner. Plus my quidco payment is going to be £28 in November so it's not all gloom and doom in the Sparkle household.
Thanks hun for your words of kindness!Debt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24

Of course, anytime
Well done on getting into MS. I've made £135 from it so far and got 4 jobs lined up in the next 2 weeks
Pleased I made you smile, what are friends for eh :beer:Leason learnt :beer:0 -
Well it's been an expensive weekend- £120 in Tesco last night and £80 in Mothercare this morning  I decided to budget all the remaining baby stuff for this month so it gets it all out of the way. The food bill was astronomical but I can honestly say that it was all very much needed as I've been running our cupboards and fridge down. For once there was plenty of room in the fridge for the new shopping- maybe I've finally got the hang of this. The good news is that I shouldn't need much at all for the rest of the month- just top-ups of fruit and veg.
Payday brought my debt down to under £24K (just!) and I'll get paid again in 3 weeks so I'll pay another little lot off then. All of my CC debt is now on 0% and is just above the £10K mark so I can finally see some results. Progress has been slow this year and sometimes I get down about this but at least I can see the figures going in the right direction.
I've also made some money from MSE activities that I haven't used in my monthly budget, just to give me a bit of slack if I need it:
-£10 from mystery shopping
-£64.02 from Quidco
-just over £300 from matched bettingDebt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24

Hi there
Lovely update, thank youWell done on being below £24k. We love our milestones around here! :j
The food bill may have been high but you do know why and you know that's not your usual bill anyway so I think you definitely have the hang of this now!
I understand why you may be getting down about progress being slow but I think it's best to have slow reults that have constant high and lows - and we can't have that with Thomas being baked, can we?
I really do think you are doing great and you have come leaps and bounds this year, if I may say so. You deserve to be very proud of yourself!:TLeason learnt :beer:0 -

I am pleased with my progress and you are doing fabulously too. Just remember we all have different circumstances and as long as we get there, that's all that matters! And we WILL both get there!
Worry not, if I had two beady eyes, they would both be on youLeason learnt :beer:0
