  • Magpye, i can see you take care of your skin and look a very good 31:) Isn't it funny how we take for granted our lovely young skin and only start paying attention when it starts to change!!

Face has been steamed and scrubbed this morning, and i think i can see a little difference in the dark circles under my eyes, think this is due to the gallons of water that has been consumed:p

Product i ned to buy this week are
    1) moisturiser with spf
    2) foundation Mineral?? Answers on a postcard?
    3) bottle of witch hazel

  • It has been less than a week and i am thrilled with how my skin looks. Mum commented today (and i havn't mentioned about me feeling bleurgh) that my skin is looking good and had i switched my make-up? depite having a little mini breakout ( i think my skin is eleminating the toxins)

what i have done so far:
Drinking at least 3 pints of water a day
    Changed cleansing regime
    used bicarb as facial scrub
steamed over a bowl of water
deep moisturise with a vitamin e tablet
Continued to eat well, including 2 portions of oily fish

Hope i can keep it up:p

Sharron you sound like you're doing really well. I use Superdrug's Vitamin E Oil (think it's about £2) just a couple of drops morning and night underneath my moisturiser. When I'm feeling rich I like to use No7 Protect and Perfect Intense (sparingly though......:rotfl:)

You've received lots of handy tips here though and I'm going to pinch some of them :D

A good exfoliator also will give your skin a great boost, try philosophy microdelivery peel. Skinceuticals is a genius brand and has helped me, evening primrose oil capsules, plenty of vit c and blueberries. I look younger than my sis who is six years younger because i look after my skin .
A glass of wine has antioxidants, a square of dark choc is also good. Just enjoy taking care of yourself and be the best you can, stress is an ager also.
  • Update!!

skin is looking amazing:j just goes to show what a little bit of tlc does!!

Here's my current routine(if anyones interested)

Evening, slather face with boots botanics cleanser, use Liz earle cleanser cloth. Tone with boots cheapo cucumber toner. Moisturise with clarins aniti ageing night lotion (discontinued:mad:) but got it on ebay. Boots time delay eye cream.

Morning, loreal wipes, boots botanics spf 15 day cream. Make up is chanel pro lumiere, clinique powder, touche eclat conceler, ruby and millie blush, cheapo eyeliner and mascara.

Twice a week i use a facial scrub, once a week steam and put a face mask on, Followed by a vit e capsuel (thanks debie)

In addition i am drinking more water, eatin fish an generally looking after myself, and it clearly shows in my skin.

  • The reason why women have skin problems is mostly down to what we eat.

Until the diet in the UK significantly changes we will continue to need all manner of beauty products and in some cases surgery.

Its amazing how many people are unhappy about their skin, spend a fortune buying all kinds of items, spend ages applying them (for not a great finish often) and yet will not make changes to their diets.

You need to get processed foods out of your diet......including things such as sauces yoghurts and crisps.
Dairy are not helpful to your health.....including eggs.
Red meats should only be once in a while but include lots of fish.
Anything with wheat in it is also bad for you in the long run.

The things we eat are responsible for every day concerns such as hair and skin or how sluggish we feel but they are also responsible for long term health implications such as cancers and blood disorders.

It certainly is about time the government did something about this massive problem.
