As there are not many people who develop films and photo's in this digital age I don't know how easy it would be to come by?
I think GeeBee is a Chemist?:D
Cheers all, handy.
The vinegar to use is Distilled white vinegar, it can be bought in all the large supermarkets.

Off to look for white vinegar now. Maybe when I trim the lavender I could send out the clippings instead of putting them on the compost / bonfire?

Actually Handy, just had a thought. You could add Citronella essential oil to yours, then it will repel insects while you're working outside!.If you can, help others; if you cannot do that, at least do not harm them~Dalai LamaHow people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours~Wayne DyerLet none find fault in others. Just a fast one before I go, when I lived in the Highlands, the midges were a real problem. I used to have to wear a bee keepers suit to work in the veg garden. The local foresters used to swear by Avon skin so soft. They said it kept the midges away. I got some and got eaten alive. All I could think of was the Lumberjack song by Montey Python, for an explanation of why they all liked it.
An ex Cadet of mine who had just come back from Belize gave me some of the Army's latest anti Mozzie repelant, He said it was that strong it even repelled bullets. I tried it and got eaten again. I sprayed some on my young Labrodor Benson and it bleached his black coat red. For weeks he had a ginger stripe down his back.
If it bites or stings it will come handy's way. Like the goaly who had a bottle thrown at him, the ref said that's OK son It will only get you if your names on it. He said that's what worries me, My names Wothington!!

Handy, i heard about the Avon 'skin~so~soft' too, i think it is apparently the woodland fresh one, this used to be called something else. Its the one i use but to be honest i never know if it works or not, wasps make a 'bee~line' for me with an evil glint in their eye anyway!.
Time for me to go now.
