Tuesday and still no phone call or letter and I am getting paranoid and worried. Maybe tomorrow?0

Fingers crossed!!0

Its now Monday and still no letter or card. I went in to the branch and got my ID checked, the teller said it would take approximately 1 to 3 days for me to receive a confirmation and up to 4 days to receive a card; this was on the Wednesday of last week. I have my preliminary sort code and account number. Should I now phone in?0

My understanding with the Cash account is that approval is pretty much a given unless they find data regarding fraud or b/r. If you've got a sort code and account number give the customer services team a call and ask them what stage the account opening process is at.0

Just to update everyone on the situation, I phoned in today and the agent has told me my application has been accepted and everything is on the post already; I should be getting letters either tomorrow or next week. So if anyone else is in a similar situation, I guess the best thing to do is wait. Its actually taken nearly 20 days by my reckoning to process. Better late than never I suppose.0

Blimey!! You been unlucky with the timings - like i said applied on sunday night online - debit card arrived following sat, with the welcome pack on the friday.
All going well good account - only issue is the Lloyds only ATM's but cashback does mitigate that somewhat.0 -
One way to get over the issue with the Lloyds TSB Cash Machine use only is to Open the Easy Saver Account and request a Cash Card for this. You can then transfer any money via PhoneBank or by Online Banking and withdraw from any Cash Machine you like.
Used to work for me before I was able to upgrade to a full account with Lloyds.David
