  • silver card is platinum account.

    cash account although will be visa debit, it will be an full auth only card (so is essentially an electron without the word electron if that floats your boat) - and note that cash card customers can only withdraw cash from a Lloyds TSB cash point.

    You need a full current account for unlimited/anywhere atm access and a full visa debit facility.

    in terms of account opening - took about 5 days to get my gold account open.

    Not sure I quite understand. Regardless, even then it should have wider acceptence than say Electron otherwise why would they brand it as Visa Debit - unless I am missing something here.

  • yes it will be accepted in many more places than electron obviously.

    it is full auth however - that means places like tesco pay at pump, on a plane etc... the card will be declined as it will only work where there is a live online terminal so it can confirm you have the balance in your account.

    the full lloyds current accounts have offline cards that can be used everywhere and anywhere.

    Visa debit card arrived today, now thats impressive welcome pack yesterday debit card today - it is the silver card without the large 2012 logo the smaller 2012 logo is still in the top right hand corner of card.

    Congrats. That is quite impressive indeed. Its even better since its not the green one - silver always looks good :).
