Lloyds TSB online application

So I took a deep breath and applied for the cash account online. The website would have made me believe everything would be done on the same day which is why I even used the online application rather than going into the branch. Anyways so I called up to ask about the progress and apparently theres a 5 day backlog of applications. Totally dismayed now having to wait this long.

If anyone has applied using the online application process, how long has it taken you to get a reply and were you successful in creating the account? Should I have just walked into the branch or should I do that now?

I just pray I get the cash account now, I will try calling in tomorrow to check on my application.

Why did you take a deep breath?

5 days must feel like a lifetime!

Get Down on hands and knees and look upwards whilst praying!

I applied in branch today for a current account and walked away with account details.

Perhaps go to branch where requested your account to be held and ask them to process the application.

Oh yes 5 days is a life time especially when you want to get started straight away, but I suppose patience is the virtue. I had to take a deep breath because I recently just opened my Clydesdale account. The account agent over the phone said their system gets updated after 48 hours... so I doubt I will receive any confirmation until next Thursday. We shall see. I want to close my Halifax account asap so I need some form of Visa. Halifax provides a paltry Electron.

Nope no call just a welcome pack today detailing account details and a few other leaflets. Says card / PIN within 7 working days on letter, 3 to 5 days in the booklet.

The one shown in the cash account booklet that came today is the top right one.

You mean to say the silver one? Thats fantastic, better than my green ugly Halifax Visa Electron. How many days total did it take for your account then?
