O2 Broadband Retention Offers

  • I phoned orange today, have been with them since 2006, was paying £5p/m on the unlimited package @ 8MB as I had an orange mobile contract (which was subsequently cancelled back in 2007 - but the broadband department seems to be clueless about this!), I was considering moving to o2 for an upgraded speed and requested for a MAC code, however found my line could not support in excess of 8MB at present, which I then verified to be true through some websites.

Anyway was offered 6 months free, working out to be £2.50p/m. :j

Also being a broadband customer you get the Orange 241 offer by texting 80241 from a non-orange phone after registering online (to anyone that wasn't aware).

I wonder why i never contacted them back in 2007 now! :(

But (assuming the downside is a new 12m contract), what rate will you be charged for the remaining 6m?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
