The old Progress reaches 19.9% after three cycles. It doesn't go as low as the new one ;)

Still, the best sub prime card available APR wise :o

Yeah, 29.9% is certainly not the worst, and currently it takes exactly 36 months to get to 17.9% - star-fire's point is that if you can manage a card, any card perfectly and carefully for 3 years, you're golden anyway for any mainstream card.

However, the funny thing is that while there are cards with lower APR, it seems even mainstream cards' are getting bumped APR wise. For example, Barclaycard currently advertises the Platinum range with 16.9%, just one percent higher - maybe in 3 years 17.9% won't be such a bad APR :o

I agree, however those including myself who applied before August 2010 will be able to reach the 17.9% apr after 16 months as we are on old terms and conditions which yield 17.9% after 3 cycles.

I did notice that since I applied the goalposts have moved so to speak, I take it we are exempt from
The latest increment plan which takes 36 months? Iirc
