got a card in april this year. in fact ive never activated it because only got a £300 credit limit, but i did get a letter this week saying were reducing your apr to 29.9% but we cant increase your limit because you havent used your card. im guessing if i had used it it would have been doubled.

Started at £100, missed a payment - it went through on the Tuesday and was due on the Monday but it was a holiday so didnt get it up after 4 statements. A few months later got a random letter saying its now upto £600. Can only assume itl be upto £1,100 in the next few months. Which i must admit is handy.
Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Maybe your finances elsewhere haven't overally improved to give you a higher limit.

If you believe they have as you've had the card for 3 years and behaved yourself financially, then maybe you could apply for a more mainstream card.
