Why am I penalised at 6ft 7ins for extra legroom?

Certain carriers have rear-facing seats in business class - BA is a prime example (in a sort of gemini ying-yang formation). Certain other carriers use 'train-like' seating where two couples face each other with a table in the middle (again in their business cabin).
Of course, cabin crew tend to fly backwards too(at least for take off and landing!)
Southwest have some tabled seating arrangements on the older 737s they run.I'm going for my QuidCo £million!

I'm 6ft 4 and quite happy to pay any premium for extra legroom seats. Although even as a regular long haul flyer i have only ever paid once for an exit seat (on Singapore Airlines). It is perfectly easy to get them for free on many airlines if you're polite and/or lucky. At the end of the day, if the airlines didn't charge for extra legroom seats or they had all seats with more legroom then everyone would pay extra. Look at American Airlines. A few years back they took out several rows of seats in their economy cabins and spread the remaining seats out to create more legroom. They have now put the seats back in as they were losing money and would have had to push up prices for everyone otherwise.
My airline doesn't charge for extra legroom seats, but if you need two seats then you pay for two.0 -
who do you regularly fly with, and where to ?Legal team on standby0

Can you not just request an aisle seat and then stretch your legs into the aisle from time to time?0

If people are just buying a standardized product then I guess children who are unable to sit on the parents lap should be charged full price, rather than a discount awarded. I'd like to see this one swallowed! He is taking a seat just the same as any adult and if he is like most teenagers probably consumes more drinks/food than an adult so, yes, I think the charge should be full.
You could also put the fact that most parents expect sky cots when onboard so these should be charged for, rather than let the infant fly for free. There are even fewer bulkhead sky cots than any other seat onboard!
MMM I didnt say he shouldnt be charged, I was just pointing out that children are charged full fare..so is already being "swallowed"
Edit
Actually, reading some of your other posts you have confused me so much, I have no idea where you are coming from0
