Ask the vendor about it. Is the device charged up fully? Does the spy camera use a tf/microsd card - just use a card reader if so.

It was purchased online. The device is fully charged. The spy camera uses a TF memory card which was not included. I must look to see where I can get one - will that make it work?

Well,it won't do much without a microsd (tf) card in it. The camera will record onto the microsd card and may then act as a card reader, not guaranteed. I'd try a card reader if it still isn't "seen" by pc. You can still email the vendor.
Use vlc to view the footage.
These can make masses of data so a 4 or 8GB card may be needed -but try if it works first with any old microsd you have around, maybe in phone?

I put a card from a mobile into it and I am still getting the same message.

Try and read the microsd card with a card reader - after you have recorded something!!

are you following the instructions for connection?

    USB connection
    • Connect the VCR to a computer USB port,and locate a removable disk;
    • Conect the PC camera
First, install STK02N 2.0 version of the PC camera driver
After Drive is installed, press down the Play button to connect the computer USB port and locate the PC camera equipment.(Before connecting, place the power switch to OFF)
    (gotta love translated English manuals)

If that doesn't work then I think you have a faulty device or it's plugged into a faulty usb port.

Cannot install STK02N 2.0 version as I do not have it and do not know where to get it.

Usb port is working fine. I have just tried pen camera on another computer with XP and I got the same error. Tried the reset button to see if that helped but it has made no difference!

I am totally at a loss!

this seems to relate to the same type of camera - seems they might come with a duff usb lead or have corrupt firmware, fixes listed on the page.

Can't you try a card reader???????
These types of camera clones ofter have poor software but they only act as card readers anyway.
Do you know how to record with it ??
Can you use your mobile as a card reader to view recorded video, may be best to move video to pc and then view with vlc ?
