Cheapest way to get to o2 BB/Home Phone?

Don't forget that you can have a BT line and still get O2 broadband if it drags on too long. As has been said the O2 line rental itself was delayed by months.0

There's really not a lot in it for line rental and a basic call package between O2 and BT. I only moved everything to 02 in order to escape TalkTalk...No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Yep, if push comes to shove thats the case, actually have an open order with BT to fit a line on the 26th, if o2 can bring me an installation date by that time, they get me, if not, I'm paying out and selling me soul the the satanic force that is BT(Although will obviously still use o2 for BB)

I moved to cable from O2 (BT's fault) before they released their HomePhone so didn't look that closely but I didn't think there were huge savings to be made. Mind you I've always avoided call packages finding 1899 to work out cheaper for me.
If you do take BT be wary of the perpetually renewing "free" evening + weekend calls package otherwise you're forever in contract on that if not the line. Anticipating I'd be binning the BT line I cancelled that without penalty when they altered the hours.0 -
Ah ok thanks, didn't know about that evening and weekend calls being a tie in, thanks very much for the info on that!0

If you think you'll use them then taking the deal for the first year doesn't tie you in for longer than you'll already be tied to with the line (12 months).
What they do though is only give you the option to cancel every 12 months as the renewal is for 12 months. If you decided to move to O2 for the phone after the first year than you'd need to make sure that the calls deal had been cancelled already. Just check the T&C carefully - I think they send a letter each year to remind you but it pays not to rely on niceties like that.0 -
Thanks, I'l make sure to remember that if we end up with BT0
