2009 59 plate Toyota. No idea why it wasn't written like that.

Maybe it was a software glitch...? Maybe they should sue the company that made their keyboard for financial loss...?

Loool, Toyota/Lexus bandwagon....... As far as I know despite all the bad press, there have to date been NO failures within UK borders. Unlike other manufacturers like Renault with their bonnets flying up on motorways and quite possibly every other manufacturer that sells cars in the UK has had more faults than Toyota.
And in America the vast majority of "car started driving itself" accidents have been found to be people who put their foot down by accident and then "forgot".

Everyone just loves to jump on a bandwagon...

Toyota Augo regno 59. It was bought new. Will it help?

If it was an Aygo then it won't have the problem found on the Prius.
    Trev. Having an out-of-money experience!

    It makes sense.
Do not forget only that they have something in common. There are a lot of shared components used. Software of course is one of them.

Stop talking rubbish, the Aygo is not involved in any of this, I have told you what caused the accident already.

Your Wife needs further driver training.

    Live with it.

Your article above (not gonna quote it) relates to the Prius, not the Aygo.

So your wife is at fault, not Toyota.

OP, just because your car is not involved in any recall it doesn't stop you from taking it in to your dealer to have the brakes/brake pedal looked at, if you really think there's a problem with it.
