Sorry I'm a bit late here, but if you are still waiting on doing this, you can use DBAN.
I hope you know how to burn a CD, you need to download this file, burn it to disc:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/dban/files/dban/dban-2.2.6/dban-2.2.6_i586.iso/download
and then place it in your cd/dvd drive and boot up your computer - you will likely need to change the BIOS setting to boot from CD, so I'm beginning to think this might be getting more complicated than you want to deal with.
What operating system is installed currently? Do you have the original Windows CD for example? As that will make it easier to restore the default operating system, as you just pop that into your computer.Shin: a device for finding furniture in the dark.
