I was talking about the pop-up sign up window. When I last looked it had no padlock and no certificate on properties. I used IE6 and added the site to always allow pop-ups. Can't check today as the site is down.

ok dave
subsc since nov to 18866 - no probs - occ non connection - didn't notice i'm afraid that the site for DD details was not secure - just a bit concerned at moment as site is still not available0 -
me too, it would be very easy for someone with who knew what they were doing to gt our detals, but i think out cc / debit card co's would refund us TBH
i will ask a hacker firend of mine later just how easy0 -
he just said this
'its fairly easy to get your info if the site isn't secure. If the site does not use SSL for the data that you sent, anyone can just check the packets and see your credit card number while its on its way from you to their server. Or another way would be, if the site does not store the info in a secure database, anyone can access it and find out all the info about their customers'0 -
Guys, again not sure what windows you are looking at but for sign up purposes the pop-up window has both a padlock and is https (checked before I posted yesterday). This is true of 1866 and 1899.
I have been with 18866 for a while and am no more concerned than any other site where you give out your CC details.

I tried to register with 1899 yesterday. After filling in all my details and card details, I was told all now ok. However, I was unable to use it. Then today I received email which said "Unfortunately your 1899 internet registration has failed. Our apologies, but due to lack of capacity it is currently not possible to register". This came from donotreply@1899.com.0
