As pancake day is on Tuesday, I thought I'd bump this thread up a bit as it may help with some ideas for meal planning.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Sounds wierd but along the same lines as the bacon and jam thing, try bacon and marmalade - I'm veggie now, but when we were kids, we used to have this on toast.

this is for the dairylee poster - dairylee and tomato - doesnt matter if its sundried tomatoes, tomato puree or tomato ketchup - spread that dairylee on and put your tomato of choice on the top and either microwave or put back in a pan on lower heat until the cheese starts to melt..........my mouth is watering now. may do this with the GDs on Tuesday, promised them we will make pancakes.

Whats your favourite pancake topping?, I am looking for some ideas this year.

I like cherry pie filling with ice cream (yummy but expensive).

  • Plain old caster sugar :D

On a school trip to Paris I once had one from a street vendor, I had butter and sugar which basically turned into syrup. Really lovely, need to go to back to France for one of those again XD
