I probably travel more frequently than you and I never had any problem as well. Now, I'm not saying Ryanair is rubbish. I'm just stating:
1) The transaction mechanism on the website is clearly not reliable thus I'm asking for my money back
2) The customer service is bad
3) They don't want to refund me? Fine, but at least, tell me before the departure date so that I can at least save something by moving the travel or inviting a friend. It makes no sense to say "you may or may not get the refund".
I don't think you travel more than me :rotfl: :rotfl: :A
So far this year
Australia, Singapore x 3, all over Malaysia, India x 3, Malaysia again. Bali, Ireland & France many times all by Ryanair and lots more.0 -
"This is absurd. What are the odds dad and son have the same name?"
Well, my father and I do, my friend Nick and his father Nicholas do, Frank Sinatra jr and his dad, Dean Martin jr and his dad, George Bush and his dad etc. etc . etc.
"No, this is a reason to use a credit card. If I don't get my money back I will try to use the credit card protection."
You mean that you paid over £100 for a Ryanair flight!!!!!0 -

George Herbert Walker Bush is not the same as George Walker Bush.
Dino Paul Crocetti is not the same as Dean Paul Martin
Francis Albert "Frank" Sinatra is not the same as Franklin Wayne Emmanuel Sinatra
The names are legally different. Plus I think you have to input the birth date to disambiguate. This argument doesn't really go anywhere.0 -

It's the probably the last time I do. I had no problems until now so I felt like treating Ryanair like any other company.
Ok, you travelled more than me this year, not much more though, you win by a couple of flights.

This is absurd. What are the odds dad and son have the same name? The assumption is that's not the case, it just requires commonsense, not computers.
Because the final page clearly said there was something wrong in the process and didn't suggest that. Plus the flights had really few seats remaining.
No, this is a reason to use a credit card. If I don't get my money back I will try to use the credit card protection.
Cheers, very helpful.George Herbert Walker Bush is not the same as George Walker Bush.

No problem for the Bush's then the Ryanair booking site only wants first and last names not middle, date of birth is only entered when you print your boarding 'cards' after booking.0 -

Cutty, does this mean you don't even know the date you booked?
The whole travel episode sounds more like ROWNTREE's polo than MARCO POLO0 -

Are you a Ryanair employee or what?
I perfectly know the date I booked. I just expect from Ryanair an final answer on the refund before that date.0 -

For future reference, Ryanair refunded the whole amount. I think they have access to the error logs of the website and easily checked whether a problem occurred with the transition.
Something to improve on the customer service, but well done Ryanair!0 -
Literally just happened to me. But i waited as this has happened to me before. They have also changed the error page to say "wait 60 mins before making another booking and keep checking your email for confirmation".0
