Back from our holiday which was lovely and very much needed. I rested a lot, swam in the sea most of the time and ate more than I supposed to. Thankfully I didn't put on any weight while away but now back to weight and debt busting, I really need to shift 8lbs before winter kicks in.

I am making an overpayment towards Tesco today, £1350. I think we still have appr. £700 left on it but can't see the figures as Tesco still hasn't given us the balance. I got a letter from them that we shall hear from them by today, we will see. I will try to ebay some things over the weekend, we have to declutter. OH also wants to sell his bike as he bought a new one before we went on holiday. Don't ask the logic, he is very much obsessed with bikes and I can't follow it.

Credit card stands at £800 for this month, out of it a £200 is little brother's ticket which he will give back hopefully very soon. I have an assignment due on Thurs than exam on the 14th. No motivation whatsoever, needless to say.

What I want to do next 8 weeks:
    • ebay whatever we don't need
    • sell OH's bike
    • go through winter wardrobe, check if I need anything
    • buy hoover bags, ink, batteries, contact lenses, winter boots
    • book accomodation in Lanzarote for November
    • check foreign bank balance, make sure it's up to date
    • supervise tenant change
    • post bills to tenants
    • finish paying off Tesco
    • finish Xmas shopping (need to buy: OH, J, J, nieces, nephew nr2, brother)
    • chase first direct £100
    • help little brother finding a weekend job, help with application forms
    • deep clean whole house

Yawn... Last night's babysitting is taking its toll on me this morning...Feeling tired, just hoping it will be an easy day. Both bosses are in today, not a good start.

Money wise: I babysat yesterday, I have one booked for next week, one in October and doing proxy parenting as well for a whole weekend. OU refunds half of my course fee, admitting that they made a huge mistake although they will not reinstate our grades. But at least that's £325 coming into my account, hopefully very soon. Now just need to pay that loan and I will be a happy bunny.

It's October already and we are still not debt free. Waiting for Tesco to get back to us with a Settlement figure, it should be around £300. Can't wait to pay it off finally.

    Thank you Beanielou.

So we are officially debt free now. I am not ready to leave MSE:D. It's a weird feeling, I haven't received final statement from TEsco just yet but hoping that it will arrive next week. I trully believe that we overpaid Tesco by a couple of hundreds of pounds so getting back something would be good. That reminds me that I have to write them a letter that I will take the issue further.

So an action plan is needed. OH is going to have another operation which will cost us between £600-£800 including flgiht tickets. It's in Poland where there is a nose specialist who could operate him anytime, he can stay with relatives so no need to pay for accomodation. The problem is that the operation is recommended asap but he can't phisicly be there before the beginning of December. He also might need to take this as unpaid.

October looks depressing, we have no disposable income whatsoever. Need to wait till payday:rotfl:. Though I am booked for proxy parenting, so that should bring some extra money in.

So what are we going to do with all these money?
Well, we have investment properties in Hungary. 2 flats with 2 mortgage on it, all in swiss frank. The government has given a lifeline till the end of this year to pay it back on a fix rate of 180Ft/chf (currently 250Ft/chf) if we pay them off completely. That means that we would need to gather appr. £40000 by the end of December. Can we do it? Not sure. We will look into the personal loan option once again to see whether it's worth it or not. The good news is that once there is no mortgage in Hungary, the clean rent would be appr £650 a month which would nearly cover the monthly payment of the loan here (if we take it for 5 years). This is a huge decision and we are going to talk to the bank in November in Hungary whether we qualify for the government lifeline and how long we have to gather the money. I'm dreading it but if we pay back the mortgage at the current rate, we would pay double in 20 years.

It's really worrying me but than we don't have financial worries anymore and taking the loan here for 5 years would take the pressure off. But we always said that we would never take anymore loans, being debt free was the ultimate dream. Aaaahh, decisions, decisions...

But this week I have other things to worry about: I have an exam with OU on Friday and I haven't even opened the book:eek::eek:. I have 7 exam papers which has 12 questions on it (so 84 altogether). The plan is that I answer these questions until Thursday and hope that it will be enough:rotfl:. Well no other option really.

To do list for this week:
    • book Lanzarote accomodation for November
    • cancel fitness first
    • contact home insurance lady
    • send money to mum
    • book flight tickets using airmiles
    • ebay jeans and electricity monitor
    • download pictures from phone
    • find painter for flat
    • advertise OH's bike on Gumtree
    • clean house on Fri afternoon

Ok, so still haven't booked accomodation in Lanzarote, still haven't done any ebaying, but sold OH's bike, and the landlord agreed to buy us a new bed. Success:))).

I am feeling more motivated again, no more studying for a couple of months so will try to catch up things what needs to be done. I am working for the next 12 days in a row without a day off but after I will start doing things.

OH's bike sold, he ordered his new one, thankfully it's a £100 less than what we sold the other one for. I need to finish my Xmas shopping, need to buy presents for 6 more people. I also realized that I had to buy something for my nieces/nephew, I can't go home without any presents:((. Didn't want to spend any money this month but this is a must, I limit the amount to £5 per person, so that should be only £20.

I recycled my old mobile phone and sold one book and 4 ds games on amazon. The console and 2 more games are still for sale and I will do some ebaying in 2 weeks time.
Little brother got a job after my OH recommended him to one of the companies, it's from 10-3 but he has a job already from 3.30 so works out well. I'm glad but now we have to find a bike for him, he has no clue what to get.

To do list for this week:
    1) book lanzarote acc.
    2) use airmiles and book flights to amsterdam
    3) buy present for nieces/nephews
    4)[STRIKE]
    order 2 xmas presents
    5) move money from barclays to Lloyds
    6) find out about loan
    7) order 2012 diary
    [/STRIKE]

Not much going on here. I have been working so much, didn't have weekend at all. Feeling rather tired.
We got paralympic tickets but only one set worth £40. The good news is that it's either opening, closing ceremony, swimming final or athletics final. Would be happy with either tbh.

I have sold our ds and all the games on amazon, £100 coming to my account this week. Very happy. Also got £80 tax refunded from 2008, that's already on bank account. My salary is also higher this month because of mix up, so will get about £500 extra which is more than amazing.

On the other hand dispute with Tesco still hasn't been sorted out, I will need to write the letter to Financial Ombudsman Services this week. I also need to go to the Police as I found a mobile phone worth about £150- it's broken but I'm sure the owner would like to get it back (screen is broken, the phone is working).

    To do:
    • take the phone to the Police tmrw doing it tmrw
    • [STRIKE]
    • write FOS letter
    • [/STRIKE]take bags to charity
    • do IKEA shopping OH doing it tonight
    • freecycle double bed and mattress will do it once back from Hungary
    • list bracelet on ebay

    • buy present for nieces/nephews
    • [/STRIKE][STRIKE]

    • check bank account
    • send money to first direct account
    • book accomodation in Lanzarote
    • [/STRIKE]use airmiles will do it once this month cr card bill comes through, we need a bit more airmiles for tickets
    • book easter tickets
    • [STRIKE]
    • book tickets to Hungary for March going in May

Did really well I guess. Easter tickets already booked too.

We have over £4000 in our bank account, I can't believe it, after being so skint for years, finally we have money! Spending it on investment flat mortgage though:)/

Good news, Tesco got back to us and refunded £1100 plus £250 compensation for the trouble they have caused. I am relieved and the compensation was very welcomed. We also got Bupa money in, and increased salary. Next month won't be as good but hey, this month we have saved £2k more than we supposed to!

We are off to Hungary on Wed, can't wait, will be nice though weather might be crap. We have lots to do there though so no resting, sorting out mortgage/flats/etc. But on a good note it's my brother's son christening which will be nice.

So this week's to do list is quite short:
    [STRIKE]
    pack suitcase
    sort out ikea shopping
    post letters to Tesco, lovefilm
    bills to Hungary
    charge ipod/kindle/etc
    print out cinema vouchers
    send back bike
    cancel Fitness first DD
    [/STRIKE]
