The fact that Rover ( thankfully ) went bankrupt should answer that.

Not really much of a reason. I specifically suggested the V6.

There are an awful lot of very happy drivers out there and the even better thing is most folk think the same was you do so the car can be bought very very cheaply.

Never had any real bother with my rovers and would buy an 825 tomorrow if it was cheap enough (no, not the v6 lol, the diesel)
At least someones happy at all the british workers thrown on the scrapheap from when it started going down the tubes up to the point it closed altogether.

Well perhaps if they had paid attention to making a high quality product and not made such junk cars, they may well still be employed now.;)

That includes the management as well as the normal workforce.

    Would you??

2002 2.5V6 Auto, less than 65k miles, FSH, up for 3500.

only issue for me is no rear electric windows??

Have you considered a Lexus LS400 or LS430

Incrediably smooth and quite, very reliable and quality build. Although they only come in 4L V8 they are very frugle engines - 16.1 town and 30.4MPG on the motorway. - I would definatley recommend you test drive one just to compare the drive quality. My opinion of jags - just an expensive mondeo !!

How cheap would it have to be?

Can you pay more than £200 for one of those?

    ETA: Apparently you can. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201030364581016/sort/priceasc/usedcars/model/800/make/rover/quicksearch/true/page/1/radius/1501/postcode/sp61ej?logcode=p
