Doesn't this up the fine though? I thought that you got a smaller fine if you paid within 14 days, which doubles if you paid with 28 and when goes up again a future date?

I think if it's being investigated it goes on hold My OH did this last time (as we were literally doing 31 in a 30, if that) and we still paid the normal amount (a good 5 weeks later). Apparently we were doing 33. Boo. Couldn't deny the photograph was him, either, being's he was wearing a big bobble hat and grinning wildly for the camera
