Glad I took DH's warning of rain seriously and fetched the last few bits of washing in last night. It's been raining for at least an hour now and there's no sign of it stopping. I won the battle with the ironing last night (apart from 2 of DH's shirts, which he'll have to do himself, I think), but there's already enough for another load at the top of the stairs.
Plan for today:
check packing list
collect everything on our bed
WM x 1 and dry the 2 loads already washed
put clean clothes away
buy new iron
iron last bits
pack
print insurance docs
plant last baskets and herbs
tidy back yard
going to text friend's OH to try and sort out musicport festival for October half-term
send cheque to book DH's regimental reunion
write birthday card for NN's daughter and take it round
send electronic birthday card to relative
sort out arrangements for watering plants etc with NN's DS and pay him
find camera and get DS1 to sort it out
finish research on Internet and make notes
DH is at work until 5.40. DS1 is busy at 2pm, but should be available to do jobs at other times. He's got to find his gameboy DS and all the bits, so we can take it. DS2 is going out with NN at lunchtime and maybe my friend down the road will let him visit for a bit, too.
Bathtime tonight for everyone, then I can put the last lot of towels in the WM and the washbasket should be almost empty before we go. Our train is at 9.30 in the morning :T, so I've got enough time to make some sandwiches to take.
See you all later.0 -
Pigpen good luck hope all goes ok and safely.
