Wotcha Mrs C is this our favourite month or what?!

It is, really. Just never feels like it in the two days before we go away, as I usually do all the organising. DH was supposed to iron tonight, but he looked absolutely shattered when he came in and I told him to go to bed. He's gone out now, and guess who's still ironing... Catching up on here to have a break.

Also had an interview offer for that job application I sent off last week. It next Weds so fingers crossed please ladies - maybe it'll be third interview lucky...

Sending you successful interview (and objection) vibes, as I won't be around after tomorrow evening.

greenbee - I'm very happy for you.
cycling - glad to hear that the hospital appt was worthwhile for DD and you. Enjoy your day out tomorrow.

I think that's it for the moment. Back to the iron, then...

ANOTHER email decluttered to various high up government people. Along the lines of hey - I did what you said - emailed that outfit, I get an automatic reply saying we'll answer in 15 days - working that is.

    We don't have that time...

Dinner decluttered and I'm about to declutter myself to bed.

    Sleep well one and all...

    Greenbee

    2 months eh?

that cupid must've been firing no end of arrows off at the beginning of June;)

    well

I went to pick my mum up with an invite 'to help me choose paint' (method in my madness - she gets discount;))

    so I brought paint home

then we went to pick up DS's GF then shopping for tea...

then DD said she would go in the loft for me (involves self propulsion off stepladders which I can't do) and get decorating stuff...

then she said she'd help me paint
    SO
the room which was VIOLET WHITE this morning is now Gentle Fawn

    and we finished!

tip for kitten owners - dont leave trays/brushes/pads soaking in garden by back door. Kitty pawprints all over now

have rung sewing lady to get my free curtains altered and fielded comment from papa who implied there might be a reason I wanted my bedroom painting

well there was - paint was flaking off and had been for some time...we had to sand down, first!

Oh and I remembered I have arranged to meet collegues at CALVER on Thursday...*sigh*

and in work tomorrow sorting again..

ohh Greenbee~~~ an OH and a dog, I must have missed both!! I hope all goes well for you.
Thanks... dog is my parents' dog though. Sadly I don't think we'll be getting one any time soon as our work travel makes it unrealistic at the moment.

sexymouse - DIY is being done without me creating a list. Apparently the cold tap in the bathroom is dripping so the washer is being changed tomorrow...

Valli - yep... must have been a busy month, but given the success rate, cupid should be on target for a performance bonus :D My bedroom is NOT being decorated, but there has been a certain amount of clearing up and rearranging of stuff to make room for all the extra stuff that having another person around seems to involve...

Suppose I should go to sleep... I like having holiday at my parents. I can get up late and go to bed early, and spend most of my time doing not much
  • Today I have done:

    Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One

    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
    Sweep and mop the floor
    Level Two
    Wipe dining table
    Wipe cupboards, appliances and kickboards!
    Level Three

Clean oven and hob (Well ... wiped!)
    HHI

    Sitting Room and Hallway
    Level One

Open the windows and turn on some music! - some Joni Mitchell
    Wipe and water the plants
Declutter the chairs, floor and fireplace
    Level Two
Vacuum the floor now it is visible

Feel a bit better about that, after nealy 2 weeks of not reporting for duty (for first time in a while I have a floordrobe going on, but hopefully will get back to semi ship shape before going to the seaside this weekend!):j
Thanks to all for the flylady inspiration
