i was sent an item that had damage not mentioned on listing. They kept telling me to send the item back first until i get a refund. I finally decided to give in and asked for their addresss and they never replied. Im stuck with a broken item, money out and ebay said they cant give me details.

its so so annoying when this happens :(

The fact that seller refused to give his address may have helped. Ebay/paypal dislike sellers trying to get clever, the same thing tends to happen if seller provides false tracking for an item not received claim or refuses to accept a return.

It is scary what eBay can do, we sold an item on there, it hadn't arrived but was still within allowed posting days, the buyer put a dispute in and within 10 mins of it being opened eBay refunded them everything, we never got a chance to send proof of postage or fight our side. eBay doesn't seem worth the hassle to me anymore. I always refund if needed, but some people and eBay what the world.
  • ebay said they couldnt help me because i was over the allowed 45 days...which is because the seller kept stringing me on.

Ebay have never really helped me..i had to ring a person who was highly abusive to me and ebay just told me to ring the police! I decided to let it go- in their eyes i had a refund...i wish they could somehow monitor ip address..it might limit bad sellers at least.

it does make me dubious of ebay..u never know who to trust :s
Need a new start..wheres good to live in the UK?!

If people wanted a lottery, then they'd pay for the lottery. People want items properly sold, I'm not sure why you're being hostile to people with problems, but some of your posts don't make an awful lot of sense.
