Reading their replies to emails and letters etc., it appears that they are no more than a front for various PCC's, how have they managed to get charity status when they are clearly not a charity.0

Completely and utterly agree, they are not putting disabled people first, they are telling them a pack of lies, and profitting from it, a charity is supposed to help people, this one is basically telling their members to pay their benefit money in a lot of cases to these scammers on an unenforceable ticket, and then have the bloody cheek to ask them to join their charity to get a discount!
How the hell is that helping people ? They are being coerced to pay money they probably can ill afford to lose, its completely and utterly despictable behaviour, and I really do hope the charity commision will do something to stop it, a complaint has been sent about the charity and dolphin and the other person!Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
This from CAG showing yet again UKCPS's utter contempt of disabled drivers:-
I too have just received a final final final notification of prosecution from Ukcps and signed by Peter Haswell who decribes himself as the office manager. He's going on about clearly failed to honour a contract we/I did not enter into. My crime was to be the registered keeper of a vehicle who's owner forgot to put the council issued disabled parking badge on the dash when parked in a disabled space at B&Q Aintree. For this they have wanted me to pay sums varying from £40 for a successul appeal to £320 for an unsuccessful one. I have, as yet not deigned to reply. However am I correct in assuming that should he decide to prosecute I will get court papers which will allow me the chance to have my say or will a judgement be handed down without my involvement? What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Well Helen, time to put this to the test:
Anybody else gets one, PM me for defence help.0 -
This should be very interesting with Alexis' defence used. Very interesting indeed. :T
Just to add, I think the person named in that moneyclaim could also claim (against the landowner) if they are a disabled person who was discriminated against when legitimately parked in a bay provided for a person who meets the DDA definition of disability. That would be interesting as well, if pursued - I know there was a case on CAG where a disabled person got an out-of-court settlement from a retailer for not providing enough disabled bays, which is similar.
DDA 'reasonable adjustment' provisions do not say service-users can make use of any provision 'only if the disabled person proves they need it/shows a Blue Badge' because the provision is available to ALL who qualify, from the very point of diagnosis, not from the very point of being issued with a Blue Badge. And because the DDA is there to protect all disabled people (unlike Mobilise who have their priorities completely wrong...).
The question is simple, was any disabled person entitled to park there? Answer = yes, as the DDA supercedes any petty little signs on site.
P.S. Got to add I just found the case on pepipoo and the person in question who has got that moneyclaim letter was not disabled (none of our forums condone this sort of selfish parking but that doesn't mean that the OP owes UKCPS any money).
So UKCPS are obviously trying to make an example of some people to add to the propaganda spouted by Disability Now and Mobilise. I doubt if this is the only moneyclaim they have issued so I have left the info above which would relate to anyone WITH a disability who is similarly victimised.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just thought I'd let you all know that I'm still waiting a response from the Chair of Trustees.0

Just think of that Helen Dolphin and other paid Mobilise employees driving around in their lovely cars, no doubt paid for by funds from scammed disabled people. Their bank balances are clearly what matters most to them, using a registered charity as a disguise for a well organised scam. And now trying to battle it out in court to make a point, absolutely disgusting.
Don't get me wrong, to have people work full time for a charity and to attract people with the skills needed to do the job the charity needs to pay a wage. It could be argued that charities like the NSPCC extorts money from people with their graphic adverts asking for "just £2 a month" then when you give they send letters asking for more. At least when it's the NSPCC people have some choice rather than being spun the "it's a legal fine [sic]" line.0 -

How much?????£325.00, £32.50, £3.25??? Whatever it is ignore it. And could you start a separate thread as this is for Mobilise and UKCPS. Gets very confusing, we lose track of who is being helped.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
