 I think you have quoted far to much for your plumbing sevices too, but hey some old biddy will come along. And hey presto you will have Matt Allwright from rougue traders asking you a few questions too. This man would charge £150 to fit a glass sink

you obviously know nothing, so why comment?
I can just imagine the quality of any work you do (akin to your avatar), you are more likely to be a candidate on that program.

And I repeat for the THIRD time as you are incapable of reading it the first 2 times, when did I say we would charge £150???

"i'll just fix this to the wall love for £40 and you'll be fine"

Are you a one man band or someone who will send their skivvy round to do the job (pay him £20 and think hey presto £130 for doing nothing yourself)
I came into this world with nothing and I'm gonna leave with nothing.

Do you know how much we charge then?
I assume you do otherwise you would have nothing to back up your statement. I haven't given you any indication of our prices.

This thread has taught me something, monkeys can use computers.

I've also learnt that plumbers will charge what they think they can get away with.

have you had a recent quote then?

It wouldn't surpise me if a rogue trader ripped you off, as you obviously don't have a clue what you are talking about. Feel free to reply as this will be my last post to you on this subject. I have answered the OP's original question objectively and given them reasons for the costings. I am not at fault if you are unable to understand, you can argue with yourself till the cows come home if that is your hobby.

    here's a little task for you:- get a quote for these materials;
    3m chrome plated 15mm copper
    2 x 15mm chrome plated isolating valves
    2 x 15mm tap connectors
1 x chrome plated basin waste
1 x chrome plated basin trap
1 x length of chrome plated 32mm waste (very expensive, so hopefully the OP's basin waste is going out this wall, if not this is needed. Hence informing the OP of what they could be looking at getting charged)

now get a quote for a plumber for 2 hours labour, to include making good (i assume you know what that means)
Come back to me with a price. If you find the original maximum price of £150 that I said the OP can expect to pay, then you have obviously stolen the materials and employing the chuckle brothers.

Yeah whatever. Speak to the hand cause no one else is commenting (robin hood )

Well i am commentating, and IMO £150 is cheap.
To fit a glass bowl whb to a high standard, the pipes should be sunk in the wall(if not CP pipes used were exposed).
And as for the waste this too should be in CP pipe were exposed( cost £30 min) and again chased in the wall.
All chaseings plastered, then retiled, plus the bracket should be bolted to the wall and not mearly screwed( bolts £4)

If you want a DIY job pay £100, if you want a profesinal job £300
