 morning all, and a miserable wet August morning it is too!!

Hope you're OK marru and that you enjoyed your sherry. I always think it's bad enough having an unplanned drink but if youdon't enjoy it then what's the point?

Shaggy, I just love your smilies/emoticons (?) just what we need. The rollercoaster was fun but also very apt for us on here!

Welcome Trasijocha, hope the thread works for you as it does for us. I think you've shown admirable restraint and will power. Some of us have read This Charming Man by Marian Keyes. It's just chick-lit but there's a character in there who starts having her first drink earlier and earlier -scary.:T on your AF days so far.

Good to have you back and scoring DB, you're a star. I'm delighted to have reached my lowly target so early in the month so should be able to add a few xtra days next week. Good news about your DS.

Jo, when you next read: I think your OH was being unfair. He seemed to miss out the fact that you have a high-powered job and you're a super daughter and mum. I bet your colleagues, your mum and your children don't believe all you think about is sleep and food (at least he didn't add drink:rotfl:). Hope life's good on the roller coaster!

Don't want to get all budgiesque with the post as I hate to leave anyone out. To everyone who's reading (including lurkers), have a good day.

    Good Morning all.

Happy Weekend to all of you!

    It's my 37th Birthday today! :) I feel old..

2 weeks sober though, and after seeing my Substance Misuse Worker last Thursday, I've had some great news -

They have some money left over 'in the pot' for funding, for rehab.

My Support Worker also offered to start coming over to my gaff for our weekly sessions :)

She'll bring the forms over re rehab next week.

    Cheers,

    Enjoy your weekend all,

    Sim x

I can't really belive it but it is true - after 10 months only drinking socially (= 2 occasions) I am back on sherry. Naughty naughty girl. I think I can "afford" third glass before ill effects tomorrow (note - didn't declare the size of the glass). BF might come here later - I have warned him.

Marru hugs hunny (()) hope you are ok today? I just wanted to say be careful as I had not touched a drink in 6 months but then once I started again, I soon found it creeping back in more and more. Its just me I am as they say a: worrier :o but I do care. xxxxxxxxxxxx

Budgie has come over all oldstyle ;) yesterday I sorted out my kitchen cupboards, tell me how do you acculumate so much stuff/crap? I am also the proud owner of a new 6.5l slow cooker and a new steamer. The slow cooker is a big one but I am batch cooking ;) I was up early to get started, couldn't wait to be honest. I am also going to bake cakes today. I haven't baked a cake in quite awhile :o

Still I am revved up for a whole new oldstyle way, bring on batch cooking, meal planning, the grocery challenge and adopting frugal ways.

Feeling good and positive, and yes I got out of quarantine at lunchtime on Thursday, thankyou everyone.

Also sorting out my Christmas presents and getting organised :)

I am just keeping busy so I shall not be tempted by any red wine.

Hugs to everyone and lots of love, btw Jo will be pleased to have you back fulltime matey, did you locate Bhb at all? Ntc hope your weekend is good also. Oh and Ms Honey B, hope you are ok too? xxxxxxxxxxxx

Ok off to do some more oldstyle things, but you know I said it was sunny, well its raining now :(

Hey ho, catch you all laters

Don't let Lurks know, you'll get into trouble for that!

Have a good day with your baking and batch cooking Budgie. What's it they say 'I loveto cook with wine, sometimes I even put it in the food' Beware!

Happy Birthday Sim!!! You sound great and that's excellent news about the rehab funding.
