Sim, stay on the the top of the mountain, don't feel you have to climb, it's the only state of mind that keeps me going sometimes. Once you've accepted that you've made a decision, don't doubt it.

Me I'm on 8 and although I'm sleeping well I'm incredibly tired.

One day left at work and off for 4 days.

Glad you are still sober it's better than the alternative isn't it....

Am still a bit bleary eyed but I will be fine!

Found it difficult switching off last night what with how late it was etc..

Needs must though, and i wanted to be going where I am going today, so this is how it was arranged, would've been better to get away sharper last night though!

How are you doing?

Have you decided what you are going to do re your finances yet?

Good for you off for 4 days, you'll be looking forward to the end of today then!

I am off for 2 then back on the weekend, but today should fly as it's a busy branch I am going to, I will also be finished for 4pm sharp so hopefully will be home and in jammies by about 6ish....

Will be great to get a long lie tomorrow

You've got it one. I can't afford to doubt myself anymore (the depression / anxiety / booze wasn't helping me trust myself at all).

Anyway, I'm gonna go for it, and apply for the Budgeting Loan from the DWP as that will solve my most pressing predicament.

I'm then going to find a job :cool:

Congrats on your 8 days sobriety DC.

Enjoy your day, and then really enjoy your time off!

I know what you mean about finding it hard to switch off.

You're doing brilliantly though.

I'm doing ok thanks. I've decided that I'm going to get myself well, and not depend on my Girlfriend anymore. I asked her for more help late last night online, and I deeply regret it. She said no, and now I'm glad she said no. It's not fair on her, and it's not fair on me.

Re my first debt (PayDay loan), I'm going to try and 'convert' it into a DWP loan (Social Fund - Budgeting Loan). At least that gets rid of it / any extra large sized charges. Just hoping I'm eligible... and if not, I'll try something else

Going to call up the DWP at 9am.

BUG*ER I've just spent 10mins typing and it's disappeared into the ether somewhere! So here goes again.

Good morning each and every one of you out there.

Well I made it last night although I admit it was a struggle. I started a new book but couldn't seem to concentrate.

Anyway DB Please put me down for 6 AFDs. Thats 2 in a row and I'm going for a hat trick today.

Gien Glad you pulled through yesterday despite the bells. Please put me down for 2. I know I'm 8 hours behind so my penance is to extend my own deadline to midnight Thursday.

SSG Get some of that coffee into you. I've just finished my 4th and last full strength filter. Go easy on the cigs their really not good for you. There I go again pot kettle black. As my dad used to say ''do as I say not as I do''

Sim Try and keep strong and please make sure you keep that appointment with your doctor this morning.

Good on ya for 6 days sober.

My Doc's appt was yesterday. Didn't go, as felt so low I couldn't get up. I did call Doc's and let them know I wasn't going.

Will be making another appt today, for asap.

Sorry, Sim I misunderstood re appt. The dreaded Booze is really sapping but I am feeling a bit stronger now. Take heart, I've been at it for the best part of 40 years and this forum is really helping. I even did 4 weeks at the Priory clinic. Did me no good at all. Now I feel I want it for myself, sobriety that is, as opposed to wanting it to satisfy others.

Keep logging on mate and make sure you hang on to your internet access. Hope youe distress loan negotiations are successful.
