Good Evening Ladies and Gents.
Hope you're all ok.
I f*cked up majorly last week, and ended up drinking all afternoon / night Thursday and Friday.
Got through about £150, which was meant to clear some of my PayDay loan.
Am starting to feel a bit better tonight, but Sat and Sunday were hell. Worst nightmares in a long time.
So annoyed with myself for wasting all that money.
Have postponed my Advocate guy twice too (who was helping me prepare for the ESA Tribunal).
At least I've dealt with that, having called him today and re - arranged for Thursday, a day before my appeal.
Still don't feel prepared for it. I sent in my letters from my GP and Substance Misuse Worker, last Thursday by Special Delivery, but I didn't send in my personal submission (at the advice of my advocate)..
However, the Solicitor on the 'Benefits and Work' site online, advises to send in a submission.
I'm condensing it again now, from 8 pages to about 6 / 7 pages.
Wasn't going to send it in and take the advice of the Advocate (he said that's what the hearing is for, to put my side across..), but as nice as the chap is, I don't think he's done many of these Tribunals so I'm going with my gut instinct. I need to get something in writing off to them.
Will get it sent next day delivery again tomorrow morning.
Head is a shed again.
Nothing in my life is how I'd like it to be.
Have even been resenting people who've 'got sober', like my mate who went to rehab last year for 6 months, and has now been sober 19 months.
She's still a cr*p mate. Called her for advice re my ESA Appeal Hearing last week. She was to call me back..never did. No apology, but just a half - arsed text about how we'd meet up maybe soon..
She may be sober, but she's still an !!!!!
Can't go back to AA, as I resent a lot of the people there.
Sorry for the lack of upbeat mood on here.
Cheers,
Sim x0 -
You guys on here, who've got sober -
I am in awe of you.
Just feel helpless, as to how I *stay* sober.

Proud to be dealing with my debts at last :j0 -
Today is the 20th so 20 AFD for me this month plus 8 days in August makes for 28 days on the trot. I think I should make it to the end of the month and to my goal of 1 whole month AF.
Next month will be tough as I will be in Florence for 5 days and I will let myself have some nice wine or beer with my meals ;o))))
Hope everyone on here is managing to stay on track and I hope that I can but sometimes the voices in my head keep on at me to have a drink but hopefully one day it will end and I can control the urge.0 -
Sorry to hear about the slip up sim. Just concentrate on your hearing, get that behind you and then hopefully you can begin to look forward. Like MP said, you've done it before and you can do it again. Just don't beat yourself up.
