A feeling cannot make me do anything - it's the action that can do the damage.
Thanks Graeme. Good advice.
However, I don't feel I have anyone I can talk to about this, either on the phone or face to face!
Am going to have to get a plan in place for next time it happens (which it will).
AA is not for me at the moment for a variety of reasons, so I will probably phone my local Substance Misuse Team.

Thanks!
I'm so glad I saw sense, sat tight and didn't act on how I felt.

Hello all, sorry for my absence - I haven't managed very well over the summer. A complete lack of commitment and laziness. So tonight I'm trying again. Fizzy water at the ready.
Hope everyone else is ok. I'm just off to catch up on what I've missed. PenThis time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -
Thanks HB and DB!

Do any of you guys know, if I can cash a cheque at a different bank (where I don't have an account)?
ie - I have a cheque from YouGov (pre - printed), from the NatWest. This cheque is for £50.
If I deposit it in my A&L / Santander account tomorrow, I'm looking at next Tuesday at the earliest for it to clear!
So, as I could really do with the money sooner, I was considering using Money Shop to cash it. For obvious reasons, I really don't want to do this though.
I've read conflicting comments regarding this online.
I was hoping that, as the cheque is from the NatWest, that NatWest may cash it if I take it in there. However, I'm assuming I'd need an account with them?
Any ideas?
Thanks,

I think Money Shop charge about 8%! Yikes..0

Sorry Sim, I no idea with that sort of thing but I expect you can be exploited badly by the banks for doing it.
AF tonight (first time in a long time) and feeling better for it. No bells ringing eitherThis time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -
Morning All :hello:
12 AFDs for me. Off to see what you've been up to.....
ShaggyWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0
