    Morning all,

I'm feeling really gutted today. After seriously controlling my alcohol intake and even having a few af days since joining this forum I completely lost it yesterday. My system is now flooded and it will be hard to climb down again.

I will fight the bl**dy demons though. I felt much better when I was in control.

I am feeling positive even though I am hungover. I WILL do it.

In fact. I am declaring a 24 hour challenge, midday today 'til midday tomorrow. If anyone wants to join me I will keep score so just let me know.

Sorry to have let myself and the rest of you down.

    RN

You have NOT let us down - you are trying to do this for yourself, not us.
When I drank I used to beat myself up for a day or 2 after, as I had let myself down. But that was the nature of my alcoholism.
Drink leads to regret and shame, and to get over those feelings, I would have a drink......thus the vicious cycle. This continued until I did something different. I tried to rely on will-power, but I couldn't stop drinking. I needed a different approach

I now only let myself down if I don't do everything in my power to prevent me from picking up a drink.

    Good luck

Miss P He'll be so excited when he sees you - great stuff.

    thanks for the hugs

Glad the shower is working at bear towers - can you send the plumber up here - my downstairs loo is playing up.

I was going ot say my outside pipe needs a good rodding - but you know this lot.

Its a perfectly acceptable and well known plumbing procedure. I can't see what 'this lot' would make of it......

As you've been told randomname, you have no reason to beat yourself up. I'm sure you're mad with yourself but it's behind you and we try (:o) to learn from mistakes. Any idea why?? I'll be joining you on the challenge, definitely no booze for me today.
