I am so pleased with myself. I have cleaned my kitchen worktops and done the washing up :) Mega achievement. Also put the notice board up, washed bedroom curtains, tidied sitting room, tidied one of the kitchen drawers, taken rubbish out, put my new (free) energy saving socket on telly and freeview box socket (can switch the whole lot off with just press of one button :)).

So downstairs looks great, tomorrow making a start upstairs. :)

    5 please Shaggy

But you're here!!! You must give yourself credit for that.

Not drinking at all can be sooo hard........much harder when you are on your own in your flat, with no one to talk to, distract you, encourage you..........you know that you don't want to drink BUT...........those voices in your head drive you mad .........persuade you..........until they/you finally convince yourself that you will just have.........1 glass..........a few.........etc

BUT you will get there SSC, you will........but you have to keep trying and I'm sure coming on here does also help you.

It's one of those things that only you can actually do, no one can do it for you, but we can all be here to support you. Do you have any other support? If not, would it be a possibility?

    BIG hug for you x

Surely that's not possible (with YM about) SSG!

I just love this thread, nothing like a good laugh:T:T:T

Well done, sim, on your productive day you sound so positive it's great to hear. Similarly marru on your cleaning up and Miss P although that sounds a bit OCD, hope Piglet's teacher appreciates the bleached sink:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I am stuffed with delicious pork, enjoyed my meal and have been picking at the crackling ever since. Jo, you certainly started something here, prices will probably rocket as a result.

Question for Miss P, have you done Slimming World before? Just wondering how the menus fit around piglet and your OH. The way I've been eating this weekend I need to seriously think about losing a few pounds.

    Morning all,

Yes, pork was delicious, glad you enjoyed your Maman, how was yours Lurks?

Found a couple of cans of guinness lurking in the cupboard yesterday, didn't chuck em, drunk em so no change to total Shaggy.

I have been up an hour and it's taken that long to check my emails, facebook, PMs and read all my subscribed threads and I've still got 2 kids laying here watching telly in their PJs, I haven't sorted out any uniform or done their packed lunches yet and I've got to leave in 40 minutes

S'pose I'd better be off!! Back to the old routine :)

  • I've just been catching up with yesterday's posts. I thought the folks on this site were striving to be responsible & sober pillars of society and not resorting to cheap smut and innuendo. A good laugh though :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

Sim I'm really, really pleased for you. It's time you got a break - well done. As I've said before you are an inspiration.

SSG You got em gal Hug,Hug,Hug,Hug,Hug,Hug,Hug.

You sound really low you poor thing but things will get better. how about trying to get off the voddie and swapping to a nice wine. It's hard to give up your favourite tipple but may be worth a try.

I watched the England V. pakistan Twenty20 (cricket) yesterday afternoon. When it finished at 5.45 I realised I had not even thought of a drink. This tends to prove to me that it is a habit/mind set issue.

Anyhow, I was af so that's 3 for me please Shaggy. Will try for another today.
