I'm now laying in bed with DS cos he was so traumatised :(

He could probably watch police camera action without batting an eyelid but to watch a gorilla die of old age and exhaustion is too much.

I won't be able to sleep now that I'm AF. Gonna be a long night!

    Night all

Right after drinking for god knows how many years and every so often enjoying it far too much I have decided to give alcohol a break. I haven't touched a drop since Monday 23rd, the decision behind this is to become a boring miserable old fart, only kidding the real reason is to get healthy, lose some weight and save some cash and not die of a heart attack or stroke in the next few years.

Well when I wake up in the morning that will be day 7 without a drop of alcohol, not sure how I really feel about it but I have stopped snacking and eating rubbish late at night, hopefully my waistline should show some benefit (it had bloody better do soon ;o))))) )

Not to sure how I feel about it yet but I suppose time will tell, roll on week two and lets see if I can make it to one month AF.

I had 2 glasses of red wine last night and boy do I feel rough this morning.

I had a terrible nights sleep and gave up at 6.30am and got up.

I really do know now how much better I feel without alcohol and can't kid myself I feel better when I have a drink. I looked so sad last night after a glass of wine. I looked at myself in the mirror and my eyes were sad and my face was red.

Can't believe how rubbish I feel after 2 drinks and what little enjoyment there was for me. Still at least its sinking in now as this is the worst I've felt in ages. Time to get on the AF wagon again

On 29 AFD so far -

Hope everyone else is ok and looking after yourselves x

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
  • Morning peeps :)

2 lagers too many last night ....:o

Off to do something useful if I don't get blown away in the winds

Supposed to be fitting a towbar on the car but doesn't look good out there
