I noticed someone else had a problem with Asda's bras.
I have big boobs and was surprised to see Asda did bras up to a J cup, so I thought I'd try a nice purple one on.

That was me. The one I had trouble with was purple too and tried to take it back last night but customer services were shut. Although inside it was called "Ana" it is a different size to the other "Ana" bras that I have found to be a perfect fit and comfortable but we are all different shapes and sizes and comfort for me will not be comfort for all. I remember I tried a Jordan bra on at Asda and that was way too small compared to others I tried. Next time I will try on regardless of name or size.
  • After all the advice on here i went bra shopping today and just as suggested i am a 36 E! Thank you so much for the advice! I know have three beautiful bra's i keep trying on as they fit so well!

Mum used to take me every year to get fitted in M&S and every year I'd be a 34B.

When I went to uni my friend took me to bravissimo and I'm a 32F! Get measured there every year and I need to watch my size for certain brands but I'll never wear another B cup as long as I live, the fitter looked shocked when she saw all the red lines on my boobs from wearing a wrong size bra.

Hi everyone, I've been doing paperwork for the last few days so I read a post about Asda bras and then forgot to come back and post.... Sorry.

In regards to the Asda bras. I did mention before that you wil in no way get a product like you would buy at Bravissimo, they would not touch anything like Asda made bras with a bargepole as it is not worth their reputation.

You do get the odd line that might run a band or a cup size different - I always warn people about these if I can and unless it is a popular line I won't sell it as buying online is different to buying it in a shop and trying it on.

The cheap supermarket bras do not get the same quality testing, nor will they fit in the same way you are used to and - in my opinion - the materials are substandard. it is not designed to last, it is designed to be worn 10 times and chucked in the bin. Throwaway fashion. And it is a false economy. This is also why people end up wearing the same size. They try their usual size on in Asda, have to get a band or cup size different and think they have changed size and so then wear the wrong size forever more.

I want to go back to the poster about the bra digging in. Can you let me know what bra styles these are.

I wore my Rio the other day and by the end of the day it started digging in and no amount of adjusting would help - I am in the middle of my cycle and within the day I had gone up a size (urgh!). The next day, because I had bruises on the side of my boobs my new bra really hurt, but now these have gone down it is no longer hurting.

I am wondering if just one of the bras is hurting you yet because you are wearing it every few days the marks are not going down and the other bras are aggrevating it and making hurt some more. Just a thought for you.

I used to have real probs with bras and never found a brand that fitted properly. I read somewhere that most woman should go down a back size and up one or two cup sizes. It worked perfectly for me and I can now wear the same size in any brand / high street store range.

An uncomfortable bra can be hell

    True for me, I wore a 36A for a long time...very uncomfortabe....got fitted and it turns out i am a 32D! Hurrah!

Strangely enough, my husband was even more delighed with this revelation than me :rotfl:

Just had a lady in to change the 34E's she bought online as they did not feel right - and she was a 30GG!! She felt amazing and was smiling from ear to ear when she left. And that is what I love about my job. :D

I was fitted as a 34H in Bravissimo (after M&S measured me as a 40F!!!)

I have lost almost 3 stone and thought had better go and fitted again as the cups were gaping a bit. So I went yesterday and I they fitted me as 32G.

I would definately recommend getting fitted properly. I was wearing 40F for years and being told I was actually a 34H and the difference that made to the way I look was a revelation.

I'm late to this thread and maybe someone has already explained this, but how can ladies be 40 D and then suddenly 36C?? The measurement is your rib cage (isn't it????) and that can't possibly change so drastically.

The cup size I can see being a possible problem to be resolved but I can't get my head round the shrinking ribcages of some customers!
