Well he's only gone and sent off for a sim for himself and set up a DD for £15 a month:mad: Im like what!!!! Where am i supposed to magic that from, we already have £30 included in our budget for £10 each on Mine, OH and Ds's mobiles but because we have overspent every month for the last 3, we havent had them.............
Well it will save us money!!!!!!!!!!! Where from, we havent got any...........(the fact of the matter is we havent had credit cause we havent go the money!!! its a no brainer really)
well i do have to admit i was a little harsh, and well you might say its only £15 but we havent got it...
I felt like i was his mum telling him he couldnt have it, and well youve guessed it, well i would be better off on the dole, instead of working my butt of for nothing!!!!!!!!!!!, after trying to explain that its not about that but our ability to live within our set budget (cause we just arnt), he went back to work!!!
Im sat here mad:mad:!!!!!!!!
So not only did he work on our anniversary, we couldnt afford to buy each other a card, he manages to ruin it, Great what is the point!!!!

I think i need to sit down and re-work the budget, somewhere incorporating the odd trip to mums(£30 in petrol)and the odd coffee somewhere..............

I'm so sorry TMVen, men just seem to have different priorities sometimes, maybe his lightbulb isn't quite switched on yet? Is there anything of his you can cut out of the budget to make it fit somewhere (and teach him a lesson at the same time). Have you posted your SOA and asked for some advice - there are loads of really helpful people on here, and your hubby might read and take in their advice if he's not prepared to listen to you.

Sorry to hear about your bad day TMVEN. Looks like you need a trip to Bristol with Spoon!!!

Hang in there - it has taken me 18 months to get OH on board with the budget control. Had to stop him shopping because he was spending £££ on carp, and would "treat" himself because he had worked for it.

For me it was a drip drip effect that worked. He is now letting me know if he has got money out of the bank - but will still slip up and buy treat items at the supermarket - and as far as shopping around for cheap petrol - well he just doesnt see it.

Funny thing is - if he talks to others, its plain that he gets it too.

Looking back he has come a long way, but at times its like :wall:

Tardis all ready to go, just managed to shovel the last remaining cat poo from last week out of the way, the smell is going - finally - and here we go again, more stinky poo on the way with hubert. At least Keiss is leaving her chocolate and beetroot brownies at home this time.
