In the words of Dangermouse...or was it Penfold..CRIKEY! I've not been online all day and there's 5 pages to read through. Finally caught up, sorry I missed the trip tonight, though in this weather I'm not sure I fancy it....
TMVen -sorry to hear your anniversary hasn't quite gone to plan. I think sometimes that saying 'Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus' is totally true. Unfortunately they seem to know exactly what buttons to press to make us ...and then somehow feel guilty about it too! grrr! Very sweet of DS to bring you a heart shaped egg on toast (perhaps he could send tips to my OH :rotfl:). Perhaps try and discuss the SIM card issue tomorrow, and explain why you were so annoyed, then work together to see if the budget can be rejigged to accomodate it.
Kath - don't be too harsh on yourself. Its still very early days and you're doing fantastically. It might be the odd little spend, but a tub of ice cream is hardly crimminal. A bit of self indulgence is part of the grieving process, don't deny youself.
Well, update from me is a spendy day as expected.- £3.50 at the market on a big bowl of british plums and a lb of cherries (both v.yummy and not tastless junk from the supermarket)
- £9.50  in Waitrose ... their essentials ham is the only one that has no added water and is outdoor reared. Plus got 2 little bits of haggis and 3 bottles of Crabbies for £5. (my little treat). Oh and spreadable Saint Agur...which I adore.
- £34!!! .. in Asda...totally didn't mean to spend that, just wanted to get a few bits to tide us over for the week or so, got some bits to make chilli tomorrow (haven't made it for ages) toilet roll on offer 12 for £4, milk, bread, Branston beans (4 for £1) - they are tons better than Heinz imo, and stuff along that general vein. Nothing extravagant, it just added up.
NSD for me tomorrow to make up for it - which will mean I'll be one away from my Aug target. AND I'm determined to stop buying so much grocery shopping, think I need to start listing anything I need to go with what is in the freezer and only buy that to make sure I use things up.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
