Hya Spoon, thanks so much for getting the August thread up and running...you have been pretty busy already! :T:T

Welcome to all the newnies this months...and hope those who went on Saturday's outing are now safely home and fully recovered!! None of the cats are mine, as I left mine safely at home :D

Please put me down for 16 NSDs in August, I am declaring yesterday as NSD no 1! :j. We had talked about buying bits & pieces yesterday, but found we were just too busy about the house and garden to go shopping :D!

Got to spend today...running out of milk quickly these days. DS2 was told by the diabetic nurses last week that they would rather he was talking full green milk, rather than watered down blue. This means of course that we go through it sooo much faster, especially with both DSs home atm!! DH is going to L**l (sooo much cheaper than Mr T) on the way home and getting 4 x 4 pints....so I have to find space in the freezer...somehow ;).

Right off to finally get my CPD submitted (MANIC last week)...forgot to get it in by Saturday...ooops!! :o:o

    Have a great day everyone.

Quick question, everyone....I am thinking this month of spearating my grocery money out from my spending money - is this cheating?
I think some people do this already Jo - I don't, as my main spending tends to happen when I head for the supermarket :o.

Do what suits you best, whatever helps you to spend less!!!

Just thought I'd check in and say hi! My first NSD challenge for nearly a year!
Yesterday was the Carnaval del Pueblo in South London (did anyone else go? It was awesome!) and so that was most definitely a spend day. And since I ran out of time to go to Tesco yesterday, I have to go today, so 0 out of 2 so far! Oh well, plenty more days left! Haha, I won't be saying that when it's 20 August and I've only done 5 out of 15!

PS Hi Spoon! Thanks for starting the August thread! Sorry if it's in the thread somewhere, but where did the name Spoon come from?
You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.
  • Ok, July was my first month of doing this and I just hit my target of 15 which I was thrilled with.
However, August = house move and V Festival, so I'm going to be more realistic and try for 10 please.
    Thanks so much.
Finally, debt free for the first time since I was 18!:D

Just managed to catch up on July's thread, looked like a fantastic day out at the palace, Hubert is really sorry he missed it and he could have caught up with some old friends on the beach at Brighton! Good plan to leave the beetroot cookies behind but I notice you were still err shovelling errr stuff, glad it wasn't me this time, well done Spoon and Nargle!!!

Will have to spend some money to-day, cunningly asked daughter to do shopping for our return but she fluffed it big time, tried hard poor lamb but the cupboards are bare, so will have to pop out and get some vital supplies, loo roll for a starter.............

should be NSD tomorrow when I am back at work, the aliens are sending you a wave Spoon......

Going to declare today as NSD no. 2...don't need to get anything or to go out. However, tomorrow will be a spend day as I need to pay for my TKD insurance and go food shopping....oh the joys!
