How big is Jinty's shed? And is she doing a barbie?

The two sheds are tidied, deckchairs at the ready and mr JintyB is all set with his bra and pants pinny:cool:. He is doing the barbie so it will be cremated burgers and sausages as he has a terrible fear of dying of food poisoning.
I am preparing the cheese and pineapple sticks and I thought vol au vents and twiglets would be good.:T
Have wired up the speakers for the "hi-fi" so the Rollers can blast out to the back garden. Someone will have to run inside occasionally to change the " records". ;)
Dress up if you wish, but paint splattered gear is also acceptable BDINI!
Hubert can be tied up to one of the trees, bring a bucket please:eek:

you will always be rich enough to be generous.
  • Definitely sorted on the music side, Nargle, I've got albums by Slade, the Osmonds and Sweet, Mud and Glitter band singles (and I can still remember the dance to "Tiger Feet").

I'm going as Suzi Quatro, leather jacket, jeans, high boots, all I need is a guitar now

Food - pineapple and cheese on sticks and vol au vents, definitely
Drink - babycham (with a cherry on a stick)

Guilty confession - I went to see the Bay City Rollers before they became famous:o:o:o (not something I normally admit to:o:o)

Whooo I can beat that, I actually DANCED with the drummer, Alan somebody at a local "disco" when i was just a wee young thing, and the next week danced with Midge Ure when he was still playing in a local Scottish band called Slik!!!:eek::eek: Have I led the high life or what???

OK everything sorted, tartan trews, cut off at the worst part of my calves, shirt with tartan patches (used to be a shop in Glasgow where they made them to measure and your own spec), hair standing on end a la Woody and guitar hanging around my bum (things do keep hanging around my bum, either I've shrunk or everything is longer than I remember)

Hubert is a bit upset, doesn't want to be tied up but will wear the fetching tartan nappy I have fashioned out of a spare kilt, so still not bringing the shovel.

I thought I'd bring a few prawn cocktails and a black forrest gateau and of course a couple of bottles of martini and one of cinzano (can you still buy cinzano and is that how you spell it???) God we knew how to live then!!!!

Oooooooh Bay City Rollers!! Aparently some of them lived in the street in Prestonpans where I first lived (moved to Orkney when I was 2). I have to admit The Osmonds were my favourite though! We have loads of Seventies music on CD so I can bring them too and we can compare memories!

When I was 17, most of our school went on strike as the (dotty and soon to retire) headmaster banned all BCR clothing...claiming the scarves around the wrists were dangerous!! There were a set of 15 or so long steps at the front of the Victorian-built school where all the school kids (nearly 1000 of them!!) sat on for most of the day, all decked out in their full BCR regalia. Ofcourse the TV and radio came, so they were the talk of the county for a few days!!
I was a fifth year student busy in the middle of a chemistry project, so couldn't join them, but I was with them in spirit!

May come tonight...will see how I am...been suffering this week. So run-down, with cold sores, mouth ulcers, very itchy eyes etc...may head for bed early again, but will try to pop in and see how you all are for a while.

Oh Happy Birthday for yesterday Beanie!! :T

Almost forgot...managed to pick up an NSD yesterday spoon, so have reached my first target!! :j:j That's 16so far, so can I have my panda please!

Spoon, can I go for 18 NSDs now...surely I can pick up 2 more NSDs this weekend...I'd love to get a penguin too.

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone, whether you have good weather or not!

I'm going to jump the gun a bit here and predict another 3 NSDs over the long weekend as I have nothing planned that will cost money. Plenty of food in the house, lots of housework type jobs to do and most importantly, no money in my purse till Tuesday so I couldn't even if I wanted to!!
I'll update sig as we go tho, just in case, but total should be 10 or 11:j
