    Hi lovely NSD gang :A
Second day of August and we’re already on page 8 already, this is definitely a very chatty month. Lots of NSDs rolling in already, well done everyone:j
Splitting this update in 2, don’t want to risk losing it...

A very warm welcome to all our newbies signing up this month, new people are always welcome to join, we’re a a very friendly, if slightly insane, bunch and a surreal sense of humour definitely helps. We are, however, very serious in our aim to cut down on our spending and are happy to give advice/tips/hints so please ask if you’re not sure about anything. Everyone seems to have more success if they post regularly on here and join in the chat - not sure why, but it seems to work, so please feel free to join in

    So welcome to:
redcoltraine: :hello:hi and welcome, of course you can join, good to have you on board. Signing you up for 20 now, keep posting, look forward to lots of updates
BorassicLint: :hello:hi BL, good to see you here. Glad you’ve decided to join us and yes, it is good fun. You decide how many NSDs you’re going to try for during the month and the target goes on the front page. If you make your target you get a “prize” and you can then increase it if you want to get a second “prize” and so on. If you’re happy with 8 I’ll sign you up for that now, keep posting, that seems to be the secret and feel free to join in with the chat
kalojac: :hello: hi and welcome, of course you can join, good to have you on board. Signing you up for 10 now, look forward to lots of updates

    And welcome back to:
d3mon4ngel: :hello: hi and welcome back, signing you up for 10 now. Good luck and keep posting, it seems to work.
Will catch up on the July thread and update your total on there
Keiss 21: :hello:hi and welcome back, signing you up for 16 now - well done for increasing your target. Another one who needs a tame cow - Cheryl has the same problem as you do with milk - DS is a milk monster. Good luck with the CPD
webitha: :hello: hi and welcome back, signing you up for 15 now. Good luck and keep posting, it definitely seems to work.
shoe_gal_84: :hello:hi and welcome back, signing you up for 10 now - good luck. House move sounds exciting, hope it goes well
TMVen: :hello:hi and welcome back, signing you up for 15 now - good luck. I know, this thread moves very fast, everyone likes to talk!
GeorgieFTB: :hello: hi and welcome back, signing you up for 8 now - good luck. Yep, gotta keep up with us all, no slacking! Of course you can book your seat on the tardis, there’s plenty of room!
katenut: :hello:hi and welcome back, signing you up for 15 now. Yes, the outing was pretty chaotic, lots of animal poo and BM nearly getting arrested again.. same old...
mrsinvisible: :hello: hi and welcome back, of course you can join again. Signing you up for 12 now - good luck.
Soma: :hello:hi and welcome back, signing you up for 15 now - good luck
Smilerwoman: :hello:hi and welcome back, signing you up for 11 now, well done for increasing your target, small steps are definitely good.
Yes you will get another nice treat this month if you make your target, haven’t decided what just yet, but they will be on the front page over the weekend. Keep posting and updating, seems to work for a lot of us

Glad you got the money back from the vet, the food was clearly disagreeing with pusskins - hope he's on the mend soon now. Poor doglet as well - and poor you with all those spends:(.

Hope everything returns to normal soon in the jinty household.

Oh dear - 2 of our doggies were coughing after we picked them up from kennels on Saturday night - and still a bit yesterday but seem OK today - we are hoping they do not have kennel cough. We asked about vacinnation before they went in, knowing how pups hate it being squirted up their nostrils, but kennels said they do not recommend it as you can only cover one type when there are 3 types they can get. I'm hoping they are all OK tomrrow, otherwise I will get appointment at vets to check them out. Hope your doggie is improving and that kitty is OK now diet sorted out

Thanks so much Spoon & 3dogs.
This morning the situ is that the cat has had diahorrea - lovely:mad:
and the dog is a little better today. I think the cat has pinched some of the gravy we used to disguise the dogs tablets and has upset his tum again. Im keeping him off all food today and see how he goes. If no probs I'll give him a bit of chicken tonight. The problem is that the meds the vet gave him need to go in food, but if he cant eat what can I do?:(
Sorry to hear about your doggies, 3dogs. I didnt know there were three types of Kennel cough. Hope your pups are ok. Mine got antibiotics and the vet told me to use childrens benylin for dry cough. That has helped soothe his throat. The thing is, he wasnt in kennels so he's got it from another dog when out walking. Its so contagious!
I'm so exasperated, I just want them to be well and happy!

Anyhoo - on a lighter note - I'm working today ( I need the rest LOL) so it will be a NSD today! Had a lovely surprised yesterday when my M&D dropped in and gave us a pressie of £100 towards the vet costs. How nice was that? we were thrilled:T Every cloud..........etc!

Will check back later, off to throw myself in the shower!

    Have a lovely day everyone!:)

you will always be rich enough to be generous.

what a nice surprise Jintyb. My brother helped us out with vet fees one time too - we were very appreciative. Nice to hear that the vet can sort both your dog and cat out. Cat must be releived to be back on Whiskas - my cat hated that special diet stuff!

    Morning all!
Not sure about today yet - I don't actually need anything, have no plans to go anywhere but you never know.

I will look at other financial bits and pieces today and see if I can find anything else to cut back on.

    Good luck to everyone else.
  • Good morning everyone, Today should be a NSD but OH has gone back to work after 5 weeks off sick, and his boss has been a ******, so he was distraught about going back, So depending on if he tells him to stick his job, well see what the day brings!!!!

Oh no! Today was going to be my first no-spend day, but I was meant to bring in cheese and salad to work and I left them at home gaahhh!!!!

That's okay, I'm still not going to spend. I'm going to eat porridge and fruit and yoghurt at work today and that's all, I'd rather go a bit hungry than have three spend days in a row!!!
You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.

Nooooooo, unthinking spend for a CD just now on Amazon has scuppered today... I never even thought about an NSD... Gah I feel stupid. Must write NSD on the back of my hand for tomorrow.

Anyone else ever find the whole thought of it horribly hard?
I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)

As of the last count I have cleared
    [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt. :(
