Well its a spendy day for me today...the man has come to fix the bad scuff on my wheels thanks to my bad parking...and to top it off, when I went out to the car this morning when he arrived, I found someone had tried to break into it last night and has totally b*ggered the lock. I'm not sure whether I am  or
. Have reported it to the police but there's nothing that will come of it since the potential theif didn't kindly leave a mug shot or contact details of where we could find them .... So stupid, its not like I have some highly desirable car, and nothing (except a few CDs) were on show. It seems like it was the car they wanted, if they were just oppertunists hoping to find a sat nav etc inside they could have just broken the window. So, now need to take it to the garage on Monday to see how much a new lock (or blank plate, which might be a better option) will cost. Nice man from Chips Away has said he'll touch up the paintwork for me where they have gouged that too.
I suppose on the up side at least there isn't too much damage (well, it's localised) and they didn't take the car, which would be a whole lot worse! Just doesn't feel nice to know someone tried that right outside your own house:(:( plus, it means anything I make at the car boot tomorrow will now have to go towards fixing that :mad::mad:

I am in awe of your shopping successes cw18...admitedly it helps working in Mr Ms!!
But mostly it's my willingness to walk back down for final reductions having done a shift at work, walked home, got changed, (sometimes been for a run,) and made/eaten tea. Admittedly I walk down less often now - partly due to this challenge (used to go down most nights) and partly due to the fact I can check out what's likely to be going through final reductions when I leave work (so I have an idea as to whether it's worth the effort or not)Cheryl0 -
That is so  Kerri; why do some twazzox have to spoil it for the rest of us! I do surveys & one of the questions often asked is if I think rules should be followed or challenged & I always struggle to answer truthfully. I'm a great believer that things like the highway code are set--on the whole--to keep everyone safe because we should have an inkling of what another vehicle is going to do & react accordingly. But then some others--like the surge of elf-n-safetee--are so stupid as to be farcical! Little oiks who think it's funny to damage property really should have their backsides whooped while spending time in the village stocks
Still haven't persuaded any of my considerate Offspring to sort out the new modem but hopefully that will be done later today. Till then, managed another nsd yesterday as me muvva decided she didn't want to go out after all :jso that cheeky bakers dozen for me thanks *starts singing Stevie Wonder's Superstition under her breath..u-uh-uhhh..brr-am.u-uh 13 month old bay-ay-bees-e-eez..writin on tha worralls..dadadaDAH. soup-a-stishin izzz da-derr-rrum*

Actually I am very very :mad::mad: about my car. Do you ever feel like you are taking one step forward and two steps back? I made £15 this week on some Lego I sold, then had the audasity to treat myself to finally having my front wheels repaired where I scuffed them - a treat to me, not an essential expense but within budget, plan to do a car boot tomorrow to make a little bit of cash for me, then someone tries to break into my car so now whatever I make tomorrow will have to go to that. I feel like I'm being punished for daring to spend £80 on my wheels and just spend for me for once
:(:(
Feel well and truly hacked off with the world :(:(Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
