another one for me, was so busy, never spent anything.

keiss got a big son too, 6 foot three always eating accompanied by delicate waif like gf who could eat for Scotland..........DS played rugby on pathway as well, got as far as Glasgow under 18s but WASN'T HEAVY ENOUGH!!!!, no matter what I stuffed him with!

been doing pre-season training for last 2 weeks, constant avalanche of dirty kit eeeeuuugh.......
Re kit washing, me too!! Managed to get two loads dried today thank goodness! He is off to a tournament in Truro with College for three days next week so trying to get everything done and dusted asap!!

As to weight...I'm sure DS2 could do with losing a few pounds (or stones!!), but with all the protein drinks he is taking to build up his muscles...he is getting bigger!!! Mind you, DS2 has always been about the 98th centile on the height and weight charts...a right big-'un!! I do think the fat is disappearing he's doing enough exercise!!

Well done to your DS on getting to the Glasgow U-18s..some of the lads in the Scotland U-17s are with Glasgow ...and well developed chaps they are too! At times it's really hard to believe they are only 17/18 years old!!

Now, must go and get some ironing done...gardening programme on now...yippee, though DH and DS2 are watching the Daily Show, so may have to watch that instead! Then it's the Celebrity Masterchef Final tonight @ 9...only started watching it this week....fascinating stuff...and the food, drool drool!!!

Flying visit after some destruction of a door frame to report number 9 :j:j

The rain definitely helped with the takeaway cravings, call me mad but i can never ring a takeaway when it's raining cos i feel too sorry for the poor delivery bloke in the rain (am i wierd????), feeling very virtuous for having just eaten salad instead :A

Have decided that when i screed the floors it can be my treat as this is the job i am dreading most... will be an incentive to get it done i think!!!!

Glad you are feeling better Spoon, is so nice to have you back!!

    Yer mad :p

Speaking as a biker here (albeit a currently ill/bikeless/frustrated one), getting paid for riding is a serious bonus, rain is a mere hiccup in the proceedings. If he's not happy to be riding he's not suited to the job! :p (Can you smell the jealousy?)
I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)

As of the last count I have cleared
    [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt. :(

Rain always makes me fancy takeaway more...or even better fish and chips. I love it when the evenings are dark and cold and you can smell the chippy (the flat we were at before had one about 3mins walk away and if the wind was blowing in the right direction of an evening...mmmmm). Where we are now has one close enough to walk to when it's cold - with the incentive you're going to get them lovely yummy chips to warm you up.

Been busy this evening sorting things for the car boot on sunday - have a basket of books, 3 boxes of bric-a-brac, a big bin bag of toys, and a rail full of clothes. I have put all the clothes on hangers already - hoping that I can put them in the car without them falling off and get them on the rail asap when I get there - that was the hardest part last time, trying to set everything up at the same time as trying to deal with people wanting to buy, and keep an eye on those browsing....oh, and trying to hang onto the clothes rail I had last time as it kept threatening to blow over (got a diff one this time) - nearly squished a small child at one point :eek: luckily a nice man put his pants on over his trousers, donned his cape and caught it before said child was flattened...I'm not sure if his parents were pleased or not :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Now I just need to organise Sun for Sunday :)

Aargh, my last excuse to resist is gone!!!! Although i have to admit we don't get many bikes round here, they all drive cars & look very disgruntled when they realise they can't pull up right in front of my door!!!

I could smell the jealousy Hannah, hope you will be able to ride again in the future? x

No NSD for me today as shopping day

Mind you, we did a car boot this morning and made £75 after paying our pitch fee - I nipped off for an hour and picked up prescriptions, called at council offices and then into Mr T's, but hardly needed anything so only cost £18.78, which, together with the fruit I bought at the car boot/market for £6, means I am in profit for the day!!!! However, we treat the car boot money separately, so no NSD

Tomorrow should be NSD - going to auction in morning but only for car boot stuff, if anything - so if I get that one, I'll only need on more for my target :j

Yeah, will need a different bike though (an expensive one), which means I need to save up, which means I need to pay the rest of the debt first. *Sigh*. I'll do it. I am stubborn like that. Till then I have a c*r. Yes the C-word is swearing! All c*rs are poo. :(

My last bike would happily break every speed limit in Britain in first gear, can I get the hang of this pull onto roundabout and change up to second c*r malarky? Can I heck! Or reverse parking- now that is cheap entertainment for you all- yes I did the scratches on the wing... and the bumper... and the door... and the hubcaps... :o Oh and sitting in traffic! I never sit in traffic! I do now. :(

The next bike will be far less powerful, a totally different sort, but to it's credit it can be fitted with a sidecar and has a sprung seat I can easily get onto and off of. That means when I am next having a bad patch I wont need a godforsaken c*r!

Down my local bike cafe they all think I'm kidding about getting shot of the c*r at the earliest opportunity and putting the little'un (due Oct) in the sidecar. I calculate 3 should be old enough to sit down, shut up and hold on reliably, co-incidentally that's about when I'll have saved enough. :D
