:hello: Hi all from a shattered Kathy.............
Wow! What a long day, up to collect election canvassing envelopes then fire training at 9am till the late shift started at 2.30, just got in
<<<<<looks for frazzled smiley
Still, no time to spend at least so up to 10, yesterday was a spendy day as I got some baccy off of the night man,
Hope everyone is well and (((((((((hugs))))))))) to all that need them, I'm too tired to check the posts tonight, I will try to catch up a bit tomorrow along with sorting these envelopes and start delivering them. Need to check where some of the streets are
I so need a rest but at least I haven't got time to think
I'm doing overtime on Sunday and Monday but am off on Tuesday, my mate wants to catch up for a coffee in town so I may end up spending that day so I need to really plan things so I can get a target as I will be spending when I go up to mum's (am thinking train coward that I am LOL)
Thanks all for bring here, you really keep me sane :rotfl::rotfl:

Well done for keeping busy, that's a good way to get through this period but don't forget to look after yourself as well, don't want you being ill on top of everything else.
Take care hun, thinking about you. You're being really brave in getting through this.
((((hugs))))

Spoony - Guinness was 13 when I got him insured, I was initally with M&S as it was difficult to find an insurer to cover older pets. They offered the best cover (£7k per yr) at a fairly reasonable cost. Then they changed their policy and the cover went down and the premiums went up. Now I use Healthy Pets http://www.healthy-pets.co.uk/, they covered Big G up to £5k (and I kinda balanced that against the £7k thinking that at his age, it was likely if we were going to be paying £5k for treatment, we would probably be in the situation of considering whether it was in his best interest...if you know what I mean), and the premiums were about £18 for him and our other kitty. They were really good at paying up promptly and their staff were always very helpful on the phone. I went with them as a reccomendation from someone on a cat forum and still use them for Skip - pay just under £7 a month for her on their top cover.

And hello to:
jintyb: you’re right re pet insurance, far too expensive not to have it nowadays:eek:...
Hope your busy morning wasn’t too expensive - glad you look gorgeous and that the knitting is going well:)
JAMIEDODGER: fingers crossed for today:)
3Dogs: hope the spend day today wasn’t too serious:)
pickleiamin: wow, you’re determined.. think I would have classed a 1p spend as an NSD - well done you:T
kerri gt: yep, you have your own tropical island now to sun yourself on. Fingers crossed for better weather at the car boot
Soma: fingers crossed for today.
Re pet insurance, problem came with an older pet with a pre-existing condition, some companies imposed either a time or money limit on how much you could claim. Things have changed a lot in the last 10 years (my puss was 18 when he died, so was insured 19 years ago) so hopefully that wouldn’t happen nowadays.
dbushes: oh dear to spendy days:( but glad you enjoyed your dinner with your friend. Very organised shopping as well, you’ll be fine.
Thanks for the drink, it’s keeping me company while typing this:)
LfV: what size staples do you buy, might try them on my OH to stop him raiding the biscuit cupboard.:rotfl: Hope the shopping was relatively painless:)
ifwishes: love the Friday wiggle:T
cw18: very organised as always with the shopping. Have a good weekend:)
Looloo: grrr to spends today.:(
Thanks, great to be back, missed you all
Firewalker: glad you’re having a good time without spending loads:T
Hannah_10: intrigued about your “crafty” thing as well, thanks for the compliment, everyone on this challenge is lovely:)
LuckyBiscuit: fingers crossed for an NSD today and for DD to not fight with DS!
Hope DH enjoys his time off work:)
losingpatience: hope OH is OK and the biopsy goes OK. Hugs to OH and you:)
skaps: hope you’re pleased with the new kitchen when it arrives:)
Tamrin: oh dear:(:(..... you’ll get there, don’t give up hope yet
3Dogs: hope the shopping day wasn’t too serious and fingers crossed for tomorrow:)
Managed no 15 today:j, only 5 more to get now....
Off to do the usual update now, see you all tomorrow.
‘night all

Good morning troops!
No NSD to report, might squeeze one in today. Dont need anything, have got wine to take to party out in the shed so that's covered.
Just back from a nice long walk with doglet, met my pal with her two doglets so we had a good old catch up and the dogs had a good run. I hadnt seen her for ages so that was great!:D
Today, I really need to do some housework, change bed and do some ironing. Got hairdresser coming to cut OH hair at lunch time, so he will look all lovely for the party tonight!;)
Have a lovely day everyone:)

Yeah, will need a different bike though (an expensive one), which means I need to save up, which means I need to pay the rest of the debt first. *Sigh*. I'll do it. I am stubborn like that. Till then I have a c*r. Yes the C-word is swearing! All c*rs are poo.
My last bike would happily break every speed limit in Britain in first gear, can I get the hang of this pull onto roundabout and change up to second c*r malarky? Can I heck! Or reverse parking- now that is cheap entertainment for you all- yes I did the scratches on the wing... and the bumper... and the door... and the hubcaps...Oh and sitting in traffic! I never sit in traffic! I do now.
The next bike will be far less powerful, a totally different sort, but to it's credit it can be fitted with a sidecar and has a sprung seat I can easily get onto and off of. That means when I am next having a bad patch I wont need a godforsaken c*r!
Down my local bike cafe they all think I'm kidding about getting shot of the c*r at the earliest opportunity and putting the little'un (due Oct) in the sidecar. I calculate 3 should be old enough to sit down, shut up and hold on reliably, co-incidentally that's about when I'll have saved enough.
Thats sounds like my driving... funnily enough thats probably why i never passed my test & have to rely on that other swear word... b*s!!!
Definitely going to be a spend day for me today, am off to watch the football with my friend & then back to his where his wife has taken pity on me & is cooking tea... yay real food!!!!
Am stupidly excited at the thought of real food, & having a day off the DIY!!!!
Happy weekend everyone!!!February NSD challenge 5/150 -
