The sim will work fine in iphone, probably the reason they want you to get a new sim is that they have stopped doing unlimited data plans so it will cost them money, cut your sim, pop it in iphone and enjoy your unlimited data plan!

i think that is the case, but what happened to honesty and service ? if they told me "we can give you a micro sim but give the now normal 500mb, i would be happy to" as oppose to read the manual in front of them and try to tell me a new plan.

I mean they said to me i have to buy out my contract, which is 12 months rental and then start a new one if i want same number. That just doesnt make sence.

well i have e-mailed o2 and cpw and told them to send me a new microsim, or a norma lsim, so i can cut it down to size.

With apple doing this sneaky microsim, i dont think changing phones and contracts is gonna be as easy as it used to be.

Rules should be placed for a universal sim, otherwise each company will have their unique fitting sim.

I have done a blog post about cutting sims for the ip4 & ipad - far better than faffing about trying to order an over priced micro sim!

I just visited an o2 store - collected a pay monthly sim ( no charge)
called o2 - asked them to swap exisiting number/ contract to new sim... did within minutes..
no charge, no extension of contract ( sim only deal already)
