Thanks, but I will decline.
There is only so much rubbish a person will take off a company before they have had enough, and I had had enough about 2 weeks into the year contract.
Only a week or so left until I get to switch, and there is NO WAY I would ever use TalkTalk ever again, so I suppose thats just it.
Horrible company. Full stop.0 -
I've written another email complaint letter as I was telephoned again with the same offer that will cost me more money per month.
When I said I did not want this offer, the staff member said she would just do it anyway. I objected and asked her not to do anything with my account and could she please confirm nothing had been done, so she put the phone down on me. How rude!
My contract is up with Talk Talk on the 27th, so I'm going to move my phone away to another company.
Lets hope she did not 'just sign you up to another contract anyway' or you may have some problems leaving on the 27th!
I do think it would be a good idea as Mark the rep said, for the end date of the current contract to be visible on bills/online, as it would be reassuring, to check. Every time TT have called me I have always been concerned that they would just click 'customer says yes to new contract' How would I know? Its not until customers try and leave that they find out they have been signed up to another contract without knowing...and this has happened with TT.
We have been with TT for a while, and when our contract was coming to an end they phoned regularly to get us to sign up to a new contract, usually slightly more expensive, but discounted for a couple of months.
We didnt want to be tied in, we were thinking about moving. But still they pestered, telling us alsorts to get us to agree, including...
.....You cant stay on a month by month contract, you have to sign uo to a new package or leave
......The cost of the month by month contracts will be increasing a lot to 'encourage' customers to sign up to new longer contracts, so if you sign up to a new contract, it will be more initially but not as much as your month by month will increase to.
I sometimes wonder why we stay with them (and even carried on with them when we moved which was a NIGHTMARE!!) But in essence its fairly cheap, and does the job most of the time, its just if you need any CS, then it can be very fustrating....but then so can other providers.
The TT forum is a pain to regisier with, and has an odd way of dealing with problems, but once you know the system, they do help eventually, and it is a much more accountable way of getting a response, as opposed to calling!0 -
Hi Whatajoke,
I appreciate your sentiment but unfortunately aside from ringing every customers who has ever renewed a contract to make sure these were valid there is little other way of TT identifying these issues until customers bring this to our attention.
I appreciate you have advised customers will only be made aware of this if they choose to leave, likewise its beyond TT visibility until this time aswell. As such we can only react to these situations and investigate them, we cannot be proactive as this would be completely unfeasible.
Halifax - I can only apologise if your past experiences have left you feeling that your issues cannot be resolved, however it would be unfair of me not to give you the opportunity to have your issues investigated in a manner which I can give you assurances for i.e. within my department where I am aware of relevant processes etc.

I understand Mark, but when a customer has moved house, how can they call you if they dont have a phone line installed, and how can they register in your forum and ask for help when they dont have broadband set up?
When we moved we were already TT customers but I had no landline and no broadband set up, there were delays, phonecalls were not acted upton, letters were promised and not sent, dates were arranged and not honoured.
I had to take time out to travel to a local library and book time on their computer to try and register on the TT forum, initially it wouldnt register me as the account at the new address had 'not been processed' and then I had to keep travelling back to see if I had any responses to my post, then post back when I did, then keep going back to the library again until I'd had another response. Im afraid it was fustrating for me.0 -
I don't want to join a forum. I just want rude Talk Talk people to stop ringing me and telling me lies. Here I go again on my own....0

Hi Lindos,
If there is no line installed then there is little choice than to contact from another alternative line. This would be applicable in the new address however regardless of if you were having TT setup as a home move or a new line installed form another supplier, you would still have to call from an alternative line.
In regards the forum this just gives an alternative to the traditional contact methods, as a potential avenue for issues to be resolved should this be convenient.
Becales - You do not have to join the forum, you can by all means request Marketing Opt out via letter email of telephone, however if you join the forum I can assure you of the process as this will all be handled within the TalkTalk Members FOrum.

Hi Becales,
We seem to be coming full circle as if you have had trouble with the telephony email or letter method to request as advised I have given you an alternative to join the members forum.
If you use the contact us form with your account details we can resolve this for you and request the marketing opt out. The contact us email address is TTMFcontactus@talktalkgroup.com and I will personally pick this up for you.
