Ali Pasual seems to avoid most questions by attempting to distract the reader with a load of nonsense. This certainly can't be helping his position! Any chance we could get back to a proper discussion?
:A Thanks to all the lovely people who contribute their advice! :A

Petits-filous thank you very much I will answer all your questions if I can later.

Tbs64 you are paranoid and silly are you sure you are not that naughty nick from property tribes hiding behind a new handle surely there isn’t two of you escaped from the village!! please stop being rude to everyone it makes you look like a petulant school boy, be constructive or go off and watch telly tubbies like a good boy, however I and I am sure Paul don’t care if you don’t like the concept of LRS and if you want it stopped get out your saw and wallet and start paying and repairing some of the damage tenants do to landlords rents and property, there is nothing more shameful than a sarcastic bigot who sits on the fence criticizing from a safe position and who has never been anywhere near the front line.

Surely you can see the irony in what you have just written?!!!

How do you know exactly who of us have been on the "front line" as you term it, after all its only words on a screen and I am much more likely to believe TBS and the consistent advice they have dispensed on this site, than a newbie who has joined just to praise one company???
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Purely your attitude problem would stop me using your services.

Do you have approval to discuss this as a business owner on these boards? It's generally frowned upon when you do not. And by frowned upon, I mean deactivated.

Nah, I don't view the adjective "gobby" as insulting, especially when its thrown around by someone on an internet forum..I'm not that fluffy & sensitive a creature.

Clearly, however, the comments you made to another poster last night were viewed as abusive/insulting by someone else, as they have now been deleted.

You aren't making this firm and its activities seem any more appealing, as other have already pointed out.

It looks like the first attempt was pulled, for those reasons, hence the sock puppetry. By the end of the week there a distinct possibility that there will be at least a dozen other newbies praising the activities & methodoloy of this firm.

IMO the firm has been set up by an aggrieved LL with a very specific axe to grind. He has chosen to operate at the "sticky" end of the PRS and has some some unpleasant experiences by his own account.

He has said that he thinks legislation has "oppressed the BTL market": he has over 100 properties.

Now, here's a thing , try checking out the registrant of his website address and you'll see that note which says:
    Registrant's address:
The registrant is a non-trading individual who has opted to have their address omitted from the WHOIS service.
    Ironic, isn't it?

Ali, I'm sorry if I upset or offended you - that was not my intention. I have already stated that I think it is a good idea and it's just that I have some reservations about how it's put into practice.

You're right when you say I'm not a professional LL, but my parents were for many years and I've been a private T for many years, so I do know quite a bit about the subject, from both points of view. Good luck with your site, anyway.

Clutton, we'll have to agree to disagree here, as you said, although generally I tend to agree with the majority of stuff you post :)

My comments were meant constructively but I think it's perhaps time to bow out of this thread...

the thing about this site Ali is that a few hardened tenants want the whole world to think that all landlords are barstewards and they devote their lives to painting the blackest possible picture of us....

when National Landlords Association came here to post, to try to put forward some good ideas as to how landlords and tenants could compromise and reach solutions to difficulties... these ranters got NLA banned as well....

maybe the word Democratic only applies to tenants and not landlords....

On this forum, i often read of "demands" of tenants and "rights" of tenants.... and yet landlords' rights are rarely recognised as being in existence let along being acknowledged as the other side of a democratic coin... (with the exception of our great barrister who is thankfully back posting again)

i will continue to support this website until such time as the Data Commissoiners say it is breaking the law.....

If people stopped being so hysterical and sat down and wrote down just whata HUGE amount of data is stored about each and every one of us on a daily basis by government, corporate bodies, local authorities, shops, credit card agencies, mortgage lenders.... and on and on and on...

Here. we have but 3 pieces of info on this Landlord Referencing Site and the landlord-bashers are out in force again.... assuming that any landlord that has this information will steal their identity and goodness knows what else.....

As i have said before on this thread... just have a look at the amount of information required from a tenant on the landlordzone tenancy application form... masses more than on Landlord Referencing.... -

I keep this information for 7 years, as if the tax man wants proof of my business activities , i have to provide it.

no doubt the response will be that... a "bad" landlord could abuse the fact that they have data on tenants.... WHY - just tell me why a LL would want to steal a tenants identity ??

If a LL did this, the police would find him/her in double quick time.....

So, are you happy that Tesco has your personal data ?

    the government ?
    banks ?

why is it just landlords who are assumed to be stealers of data and identities......

Julie Rugg was right.. landlords have been demonised in our society - i for one will never stop defending our profession

Milly - please dont opt out ... your thoughts and input are really useful, as you come from both backgrounds and can see a different perspective to many of us on here....

    You are missing the point.

Anyone can join this site for free. So therefore the data is sloshing around in the ether.

My sister had her identity stolen about 5 years ago and had to pay emergency tax for almost 2 years while it was sorted out, someone working in cardiff was earning in her name so she had to not only pay emergency tax, but SHE had to prove SHE was who she was, and the imposter carried on earning regardless. It was financially devastating for my sister, as she was on a very low wage at the time.
