Hi hope someone can help - I have I E 7 (i think ) which i sometimes use but I mainly use Chrome, anyway tonight I found that my computer had opened a facebook application 48 times in IE all by itself ??? I logged out of the FB account but am finding that every minute or so IE starts up again - if I click on what its opened it just multiplies at a faster speed. Whats the problem and how can I sort it out. Thanks in advance

thank youi'm living in a parallel universe0 -
my missus picked up an infection from facebook earlier on this evening....took Combofix to catch the little s0ds..
If you can, look in C: > Windows > system64 folder and post the filenames of what's in there...that's where they were hiding on my pc.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
HJT log doesn't look too bad, but you'd be better running a FULL mbam scan after checking for updates again first.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

Not sure whats going on there, clearly somethings starting at around 10.50 which your computer doesnt like
anyways, you need to rescan with malwarebytes, then TICK and REMOVE anything it finds:idea:0 -
And when clean run Windows Updates. Still on XP SP2 and IE6!No free lunch, and no free laptop0
